Has anyone seen anything in the press today about being fined for flying the flag on your car during the world cup
I think it was mentioned on BBC news this morning whilst they were going through the papers. Please tell me this isn't true:rolleyes: |
If it is true all the more reason to put a flag on the car. I would not normally but in this case i think it is justifiable.

The police will fine you if you attach something that's potentially a hazard, that's all. After all, you don't really want a 6 foot flag flapping straight onto your windscreen at 70 on the motorway. It could be a little dangerous...
...the bloke in the transit might want to fight you for it to get it back ;) |
LOL, he'll have to catch me first:D
Yeh, I think it was just the STAR blowing it up, needed something for the front page. I thought they were on about the little ones on the side/ariel and gone all PC. I can relax now:) |
Listening to Johnnie Walker on the way home, he had a guy in the studio discussing patriotism, they were also discussing Fareham Council rescinding the licences of taxi drivers who displayed the George Cross on their cars, as it is likely to offend people of other nationalities. Excuse me, but do we get offended when we travel abroad and see the flag of our chosen destination flying everywhere? I'd like to see a council in the good ol' US of A try this one!
North West news last night, OB units in Birmingham, Rochdale and several towns should the locals of all colours and religions proudly displaying the George Flag and getting behind Ericsson, Beckham and the boys, how come the only people objecting to it are our elected representatives. Go figure |
