Fuel gauge issue

Evening all, having a serious fuel gauge issue on my 94 jdm wrx. I have fitted a Walbro pump, but the gauge has worked fine for 6 months. Then it started to drop to zero once the tank reached half way. Now when I fill it up, it never reads full and drops from around the 3/4 reading. Sometimes it comes back up under cornering, other times it drops through corners, but as the tank lowers it just stops reading at all.
Has any one come across this? I know there are two floats 1 on each side so is it possible just 1 is playing up? Is the general consensus to change 1 or both, 2nd hand or new?
Thanks for any info,
Paul.

Change both to be sure . Never just do one . Same as a tyre u would not get one new one for the back or front . U would always get two . Just keep a can of petrol in the boot lol . Sorry that was a bad joke. I have never had that problem I have a 1994 Subaru . Will keep an eye on this link as I would like to no the out come. Just in case.
