Overheating help

Just drove to work in my 95 sti and my temp gauge went nearly to the top

Opened the header tank and it was empty, I topped it up started the car squeezed the top radiator and bottom hose to get the air out but the water just keep building back and coming out the header tank untill it stops then sucks all the water on so I top it up again and do the same

I've done it twice now and it just keeps doing that, no hot air through the vents top radiator hose is warm but the bottom is cold even when up to temp?

Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be the thermostat. If you take it out and put in a pan of hot water you will be Abel to see it it's opening. Cheap part to buy and easy fit.
That is where I would start anyway mate

And drain it and refill with the proper 50% coolant mix.
Do a search on here under my name for how to refill without air-locking, because THERE IS NO KNOWN WAY TO BLEED THE SYSTEM ONCE IT AIRLOCKS:(

Drained and flushed the coolant system thermostat was fine

Refitted everything bled it again and it's all working fine

Must have just been an air lock
