Is it really worth paying the extra money for DN10 over a regular weekend open day? A grand for 2days worth of running sounds a bit excessive to me. How many laps do people normally do? 10 laps per day (which I think is a decent amount) will work out at 50quid per lap  |

You wouldn't be going with Paul Bickerton are you? He's from Poulton and I'm sure he's going that weekend

All depends on what you want really. :thumb: |

IMO yes it is worth the extra. On the last 3 DN events I averaged about 25 laps per day, many of those only seeing a handful of other cars.

I've been going to the ring a few years now and Who would want to do 25 laps a day?? Done ring days and they are ok but bit boring and car takes a lot of grief, yes touristfahrten can be a pain but great fun and I'd prob do 8/10 laps a day max
Back mid August can't wait, cheers Rob |

Back mid August can't wait, cheers Rob Don't get me wrong, I love the TF days, have 3 trips booked this year. No track event can replace the atmosphere of TF but for guaranteed and clear track time you can't beat the track days there imo. Either way you enjoy it, it's an amazing track :thumb: |
Hi yeah maybe see you in august and show me the way round
|
If you've been going for a few years on track days & TF I'm pretty sure you don't need me showing you the way round.
|
Track days don't compare with TF IMHO, just for the safety aspect it's worth paying for a track day.
Otherwise next best is a TF but only on weekdays and non bank holidays. |

Otherwise next best is a TF but only on weekdays and non bank holidays. There's just a major difference in the feel of the place and then out on track it's better still because of the fact that everybody's there for the same reason instead of the worry/risk of coming across some wrong-uns. And there's usually some very exotic machinery there to drool over too... I did the October DN one a couple of years ago in a hired Rent4Ring ST170 and once the new car arrives I will just HAVE to have a go again and it'll be DN again. Gonna be next year now tho for me :( |

Jealous, although I'm booked to go back in Sept so not too long to wait. Did anybody say anything about the GoPro being on the outside of the car? Is this allowed?

Not a problem on a track day but you'll struggle to get away with that on a TF day.
thats spot on Nic, TF no way and the next thing is the front seats, remember the new regulation which states no racing seats with side head protection. Iīve seen it happen, they check the vehicles and if necessary wave you back. |
