Knock sensors. Det detection

Hi All.

I bought a classic sti impreza, which has apparently been remapped to 330bhp on super unleaded . I moved to Spain earlier this year so I want to be sure that the engine is running perfectly at all times. I don't fully trust the fuel here is 98ron.

So my brother used to have a knocklink installed which I have tried looking for but can only find a ecu for sale or g4 knock tool.

Is there other things on the market I can use which are I dependant of the ecu.

It's a long drive back to the UK to get a new ecu and have it mapped which I really don't want to do.

Thoughts?

I use a Phormula KS3 Knock Analyser. I think they are around £250 new. I managed to buy a good used one for half that price. They are of a much better quality than a Knocklink. I,ve had both. :thumb: Steve.

could you get it on a rolling road to check it on the typical fuel you use ?

Thanks Steve I will have a look for one of these. Anything is better than nothing, especially with the heat here I want to make sure she is running sweet.

The fuel is supposedly 98ron but iv heard of fuel companies just adding additives to increase from 95. I don't know a huge amount about fuels etc but just what I have read elsewhere. So like I said just want to be sure. Mike
