Valuation please

Hi folks. First up, I apologise if this comes across as a 'free advertisement' but it is not meant to be a for sale thread.

I could do with a valuation on my car as I am looking to trade it in but I'm struggling to read the current market. It's a 2003 sti but with a rebuilt 2.1 engine. 57k on the clock and 20k ish on the rebuild. Standard turbo so around 330bhp after a remap by bob rawle.

Couple of other bits and bobs I've changed. PPF7's, Godspeed brakes, springs, clutch, exhaust etc etc, which I won't go into as I understand they won't necessarily add too much value.

Appreciate your input.
Cheers

6.5-7k?

Trade in price? What about private sale?

Somewhere around £7k maybe slightly more if it's minty fresh.

Doubt you'll see much more than £5.5 on a trade in, depends how much profit is in the car you want to buy.

When I'm looking for a car (or got my eyes on one) I have a good look at ads for a similar car, to get an idea of where it is within the price range.

People won't look at yours if it's 2k dearer than any other and probably won't if it's 2k less, in the belief that it's too good to be true.

A quick look shows 2003 STi's at anything between £3.5K (120K on the clock) to nearly 10 (trader claiming it's a 407bhp machine, low mileage).
Most within the prices suggested so far are 300+, even 350bhp and no-one's quoting a 2.1 engine being the reason.

The advice certainly looks right.

If/when you do advertise it I'd suggest you put it in the For Sale section because it's got the mods that SN members appreciate whereas Mr 'I'm looking for a scooby 'cos they'm cool' wouldn't and would probably just point to another ad, lower price and try to beat you down.
