330S, advice please.

Hi,

I will soon be back in the fold with my third scooby, can't wait!

I'm in the process of buying a fully forged 330S with an Owens 20g billet turbo with full decat and ecutek remap. Is there anyone with similar mods who can estimate what sort of power this car would be running. It's still got the standard TMIC and air box so I guess they are the limiting factors. It's a family car so don't need silly power.

I will probably look to fit a CAI and then get the map tweaked. How much is that likely to cost with JGM or Bob Rawle?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

I'd guess you'll be late 300's running early 400's on that sort of spec at a pure guess.

Thanks Rob, that's in the ball park I was thinking. What's the going rate for a map tweak? I've had a boring Audi for 2 years, I'm a bit out of touch. Thanks

Thanks thunder. What CAI do people recommend, or are they pretty much all the same?

I ran 380bhp on the sti top mount in my hatch, then upgraded to a front mount go further to 460bhp

I run and swear by the AEM Caik

Thanks Rob. What's the induction noise like inside the car?

rob84 14 June 2014 09:52 PM

Odd to start with, Large amounts of air draw noise best described like a massive vacuum cleaner in the wheel arch. but you soon get used to it

Not too obtrusive then? I like the thought of a bit more noise but don't want it too OTT with the family in the car.
