WR1 Seats -> Spec D Leather
This isn't technically a for sale post, I just wanted some opinions.
I suffer from back ache following a gym accident, Im thinking leather might let me move myself around a bit easier when driving to get comfy. Though have never sat in Spec D leathers. Any thoughts on this? If I were to proceed, where would be best to source a Spec D interior including arm rests? |
I find my Spec D seats a bit narrow, the base I mean. Not in the same league as the standard STi black and blue alcantara seats.
However, I'm no lightweight, so you might be ok. |
Im no lightweight either bud so glad you mentioned!! By the sound of it Id probably make the bolsters wear!

I have back problems and a lot more to boot but have never noticed any benefits from owning cars with leather seats. I have had leather seats in my cars for about 6 years and would rather not have had any. The cars ive had came with heated seats and with one a/c seats but despite this the summer months would leave me with a burnt arse/legs and the winter freezing my arse off.

Someone is telling me to try the Hatch seats, perhaps I should rule out leather and stick with original Hawkeye alcantara or Hatch seats
|
I suffer back problems aswell bud, from my personal experience i'd advise against leather seats, I found them to be very slidy, my arse would slide around whenever I chucked it into a corner and couldnt maintain a comfortable driving position. That being said im borderline stick man and weigh F'all which could have something to do with it. But never had that issue with fabric/suede seats.
