easy one..... early map sensor.

What's the limits of the early map sensors, I think it's around 1.25 bar but can't for the life of me remember for sure.

Cheers.

How early ya talking? I'm nearly sure my 97 car is 1.7bar limit.

Davros 1979 28 May 2014 01:19 PM

I thought it was 1.1 bar?

I have a 1.7 bar sensor from a P1 if you need one?

mickywrx 28 May 2014 09:30 PM

1.1-2 bar springs to mind for an early car, Matt.

1.2 :)

MattyB1983 28 May 2014 09:44 PM

Yep as I thought then, I knew it was around the 1.2 mark....
Didn't the later V3 onwards have a higher limit ??

Yes a lot of people including me fit a later map sensor which can take 1.7 :) What ECU are you running ?

It's the original 7K ecu chap.
I think I'll get a V3 sensor to run a bit more boost, won't be going past 1.5 bar.

How are you getting more boost ? boost controller ? :) All I was going to say was they don't work very well with the Apexi... it's not very smooth. Worked a treat with my simtek but was disappointing with the Apexi stand alone. I went with the AVCR kit in the end. :)

v1/2 1.2bar, v3/4 1.72bar.

Thanks chaps.
I think I might have one from my last car hidden away in my spares collection so if I can find that then all good.
