Hi all this is my recently bought 2005 wrx300 much better then my previous blob wrx still the crappy brakes tho. Is there anyway of making better braking without going for the bigger brembos.

all I have done so far is
Tinted lights and windows
Prodrive rear spoiler
Will have all 4 mudflaps on soon
Also got a sti canards and lip going on.
added some rubber arch guards.
also bought a good heavy gearknob
As hated the original.

engine just has dv . Kn panel filter. And different backbox which I have not looked at yet.

Nice car bud!

PM Godspeed they will be more than helpful regarding the brakes

Hurhur 06 May 2014 02:59 PM

Had brakes from Godspeed in the passed for my old classic made a great difference can't fault them

The Trooper 1815 06 May 2014 05:29 PM

Ditch the dv and get a OE item fitted.

Godspeed can do you some upgraded discs and pads. It may also be worth changing the brake fluid if its old.

What sort of history does the car have?

And a jolly welcome. Meeting next week at J30 M4 Toby Carvery about 7.30 ish.

Nice to have another enthusiast.

Nice car.

Keep the 4 pots and get Ian to provide spacer brackets with the 330mm disc and pads. It makes a hell of difference in braking keeping the original calipers and of course they look better.

Whole setup is about £500 or thereabouts.

I did this to mine and makes the package awhole lot better

Thanks for the heads up on everything.
I dont get too carried away on tuning ect as I never know how long I will keep a car for if I keep a car a year thats really good for me.
I just spent. If I change anything in the future I may go for alloys 18.s

I have never had a proper dump valve on my car yet so I am enjoying the moment. I know they say original is best but sometimes the best is boring.
