Moyes Sacked

No surprise there then ....

stonejedi 22 April 2014 08:45 AM

He will still be laughing all the away to the bank.SJ.

Graz 22 April 2014 08:56 AM

Aye, they were saying upwards of £15 million for 11 months work. I wouldn't be too upset.

In my opinion whoever took over from Fergie was always going to end up in this situation, tough job to follow that record.

jayallen 22 April 2014 09:07 AM

Utd should of left him at Everton and opted for Martinez... ;)

To be fair he was never going to carry on where Fergie left off, I dont think any manager would of with that current team.

ditchmyster 22 April 2014 09:43 AM

Jay what's going on I agree with you, well almost. He should never have been given the job but they should of bagged Mourinho when they had the chance.

pslewis 22 April 2014 10:07 AM

Fergie knew when to get out

Moyes shoulders the blame for a poor season by Man U standards but his "star" players must be nervous of the new manager coming in whoever it is.

He would've been bagged after a few seasons too if the fans had got their way but he was given a lot more time than Moyes.

Number one news story

What don't you agree with being the top story :D :lol1: don't you understand the premier league is the most important thing on earth!

Tidgy 22 April 2014 01:14 PM

only man not on the pitch gets the blame, typical football.

Man U arn't the team they used to be, not sure why people expect them to be.

lordharding 22 April 2014 01:24 PM

The special one Mourinho

Would be the only one to follow in fergies footsteps

Moyes has been keys face it a disaster
Fergie could came back and win every game untill the end if the season I'm sure

Willowsdad 22 April 2014 02:30 PM

Can't have helped signing fellaini, uniteds worst player since massimo taibi! Queue fergie comeback.

hodgy0_2 22 April 2014 03:53 PM

Mourinho would never have gone there

not without a cast iron commitment from the owners to spend 1/4 of a billion on players

and that is something that the Glaziers simply won't do

urban 22 April 2014 04:51 PM

I'm surprised he got sacked, but not shocked.

The Rig 22 April 2014 06:19 PM

Um, to say moyes inst to blame, WTF !!! he put out a different team for every 50+ games he was in charge of ffs, if that doesnt confuse and un-nerve players, well, the facts show for themselves, it does unsettle them !

I don't get why people sing Martinez's praises. Fair enough, he won the FA Cup with Wigan but also got them relegated. It's not like he's built the team at Everton, half of which being loan players that Moyes got it. Next season will be his true telling.

Tidgy 23 April 2014 04:02 PM

i saw someonepost up that he has a better record than fergison had in his first 41 games? that true?

its getting those players to play for you though isnt it, obviously martinez is a good man manager and has done his rep a world of good.

Giggs has ruled himself out of succeeding David Moyes full time as he wants to spend more time with his brother's family..
