Oil filter thoughts

Going to do a bit of a service to my 04 sti , any thoughts on replacing oil filter with a kandn race filter over the standard scooby one ? Car is for fast road use only no track days etc

Standard Subaru oil filter is more then adequate.SJ.

And a black one at that! Or you can use an RX8 one.

I always use the blueprint ones on mine.

I use the k&n simply because of ease of removal with the nut on end of them. 25mm socket to remove them just a lot less hassle

I haven't touched Blueprint since I had one with no holes in the flow in plate! Best bit was the bloke in Euro's who ignored my comments not to put it back into stock and just looked at me blankly when I wanted a refund.

Just stick a black or blue one on,change it every service, even if it was a crap filter if you service regulary and swap it out it shouldnt hurt

Can't beat the OEM oil filter, but since I didn't have one last month, I used Mann Oil Filter this time. I've been using that brand on my e46 M3 so I thought I give it a try on my Subie.
