Avacs heads on a WRX

As the title, what's needed to get a set of JDM STI Avacs heads working on a Blob WRX?

My wife has done it on her classic wrx now that was a complete nightmare, should be relatively easier on a blob wrx though as above.SJ.

You'll need to grab an ECU from an STI and connect up the AVCS wiring loom. There are a couple of pin differences on the STI ECU so you'll also need to make the appropriate changes at the connector.

You'll also need to get the new STI ECU reprogrammed for the immobiliser to work or buy a JDM ECU which doesn't have an immobiliser fitted.

JDM WRX runs AVCS as standard

Not sure he's talking about a JDM WRX is he?

A UK WRX blob has TGVs, JDMs do not, so the ECU connector will need repinning to use either an STI or WRX JDM ECU...

not as hard as you may think

grab a sti ecu and buy a custon wiring loom from tim @ jt innovations-its plug and play matey

your chosen mapper should be able to re-code your keys to the new ecu aswell
