With the imminent arrival of our first baby, I have finally had to get a sensible family car! But have managed to convince the other half that I need to keep the sccooby.
Given that I will now store the car for 12 months, I am trying to find someone that will insure it for fire/theft and accidental damage only, and so far have not had any joy. Have any of you done this before, and can point me in the direction of an insurance company that will do it?

I have garage cover plus fire and theft on a car I own... Dirt cheap through a company called Footman James.. Don't know if they will do this on a none 'classic' though...

I took our insurance with Privilige last July, couldn't justify running RB5 + company motor so garaged RB5 for 6 months before Christmas (man, it nearly killed me..) Privilige changed cover to Fire and Theft only and gave me a pro rate rebate.

They also let me 'up' it to Fully comp once in a while so I could blow out the cobwebs.

I note some negative comments about them further down the board, but they seem very very flexible and i havn't been able to fault them.

NFU do me a policy which is third party fire and theft when the car is stored and ups to fully comp when i notify them of the car been in use it`s the dogs bolloxs.
