Pads moving in brembo a
Had a little search but nothing definitive came up, my Godspeed Kevlar pads have always clunked at low speeds, all fitted properly little shims on the back are there copper slipped up etc but they move in the calliper still very annoying,
Anyone got a fix for this ? Had enough now it's as if the pads are too small for them Cheers chris |
A lot of pads do this , pads can't be a tight fit otherwise when they get very hot and expand the pads will jam in the calipers , tightening the spring clip by bending it will put more tension on the pads holding them firmer in the calipers , or ceratech paste on either end of the pads should stop it

Ok Ian il try that thanks bud, discs and pads still going strong 10k ish along :thumb:

I thought they only accession ally clunk when in reverse
Maybe your exhaust is too quiet lol |
If the pads are not held firmly in the caliper , as you brake the pads lift which makes the clunk , then gravity will let them drop in the caliper when your off the brake , and does it again when you use them again , so by bending the spring clip to put more tension on the pads , should stop them dropping in the caliper when you come off the brakes , and ceratech paste will hold the pads firmer in the calipers again

done all of the above and they have stopped clunking, very little slip on the shims although there was plenty on them when fitted, maybe it's a case of cleaning them up and re doing them every so often?
