Surprisingly, This ones been floating about for a while now. All the money he's spent turning the car into a big ugly mobile cheese grater, could've been spent on some worthwhile engine work.

Scoobydoo Ste 05 April 2014 06:30 AM

Just cleaning the engine bay up would be a start, it's filthy.

I'm open minded when it comes to modding but this one truly deserves the "badly modded" status.

He liked Buck Rogers as a kid and wanted to relive his childhood.SJ.

Hawkeye D 05 April 2014 07:17 AM

Awful, but then I do drive a Spec D!

Chocador 05 April 2014 08:26 AM

Looks like it was painted with a stick too.

hodgy0_2 05 April 2014 08:28 AM

The thing is with this stuff is that, yes it looks hideous and the guy has obviously never heard of the phrase "less is more"

And obviously the money would have been better spent on mechanical mods

But hey, takes all sorts and life would be pretty dull if we all kept thing standard and didn't tinker

My only issue comes when they totally overprice the car (which tbf they usually do) thinking someone else should pay them for their "tinkering"

Aaron1978 05 April 2014 08:30 AM

What's wrong with it like? Myself and Robin are thinking of upgrading to this......

b3nmw 05 April 2014 08:31 AM

He can't afford a Sagaris

MRSIMPSON 05 April 2014 09:58 AM

I love Batman as much as the next guy, but wtf!

Inviroman 05 April 2014 10:05 AM

WTF

ditchmyster 05 April 2014 10:23 AM

God that is hideous, looks like he spent a small fortune on it too, all in the wrongest of wrong places.

My gripe is with the body shop that would do that to a car and still sleep at night, mind you judging by the orange peel on the rear spoiler I think they were probably grateful to have a visually challenged customer with more money than taste.

Where in this universe doing something like that to a nice looking car seems like a good idea I don't know, obviously watched too many sci-fi movies / batman type stuff.

Fair play to whoever it belongs to, at least he dared to be different not to my taste but as above, it takes all sorts.

I bet he thought he was 'the man' driving around and having people stare at it and was like a proud father.:lol1: maybe someone pointed and started laughing so he's put it up for sale.:lol1:

Trinity 05 April 2014 10:37 AM

You cannot buy common sense.

thenewgalaxy 05 April 2014 11:33 AM

All hail the return of the "WR STi"

Yeah this "in yer face" turd has been slopping about for a while now. Unfortunately this is what happens to these cars when the price comes down enough and we all get tarred with the chav brush because of it.

It's better than the finish Stevie Wonder did on Dave Wong's STi.

Actually, scrap that thought - this Crossroads Cosworth abomination wasn't cheap

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7415/...4bf778_o_d.jpg

And Scoobyclinic aren't cheap either

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3782/...dcaf0c_b_d.jpg

Both garages (with good reputations too) were quite proud to show these off.

Maybe we're the wrong 'uns for thinking that these cars are for enthusiasts and shouldn't end up covered in "attitude" parts such as those horrid bumpers and oversized scoops. I can't recall another make of car aside many models in the supermini classes that attracts so much chavitude.

CREWJ 05 April 2014 12:26 PM

That hawk is so awful.

I think the Joker got to it first.

EOEUMC 05 April 2014 01:44 PM

People do it because it looks different to the normal sort of mods on Impreza's. Personally not my cup of tea, but someone must of liked it :D

vindaloo 05 April 2014 05:18 PM

Horrible , at first I though someone had "upgraded" a classic but no.

Almost looks like it's melted or been tarred .

Cant blame Scoobyclinic for that black hatch as the customer asked for it to be like that.
But Crossroads always seem to try and make a special edition subaru and then overprice it, and make it look sh1t at the same time. Would hate to give Crossroads a blank cheque and ask them to make my car look good!!!:wonder:

ST-X 06 April 2014 10:59 PM

At least it's still on the road and can be sorted. More than can be said for the perfectly good cars the many breakers are taking apart at the moment...
