uk 2000 MY98 a18 000 dv8

Hi was just after a bit of advice,As you are all probably aware the my98 is not mappable.

I'm debating on going aftermarket ecu(seen a few on here) and sourcing a td05-440s and a 3 port,it is already fitted with a decat down pipe and centre section and would like to get to 300bhp.

It currently has the prodrive pack ecu a18 000 dv8 and was wondering if this ecu has a value?

just trying to weigh my options up,I believe I have a good base,80k with most previous MOT's,uses no water and oil and drives really straight, could be used as a daily although this is just a toy to me.

Really i'm after advice on if I should put money into this car or is the sensible option to buy one that has already had these mods carried out,Im a newbie when it comes to impreza's and any advice is welocme.

Add an ESL board and its mappable, as well mafless, twin maps, full diagnostics, ALS, LC, Flatshift and Traction Control if required. Prices start at 295GBP+VAT.

Your my98 Prodrive ecu does have a value but generally not as high as my99/00 prodrive ecu's due to your ecu needing the keys coded rather than being true plug n play like my99/00. Prob still worth about 100-150 tho :)

Cheers mate might buy an ecu of here as I have seen 2 for sale that match my car, I assume they will not need programming just mapping?

any OE ecu swap will require keys to coded to it - not sure how it works though with ESL board added to it, Andy would be able to answer better

We generally disable the immobiliser unless specifically requested by the end user, in which case we need to have their actual ECU for conversion as opposed to an exchange.
