Extreme Scoobies

Just a quick recommendation on the above, arranged a service with Paul last week and went today. This guy knows his stuff, absolutely no bullpoo and had me away by 9am, definitely doesn't hang about!

Was amazing to see him know exactly which tool to grab and how everything worked, came apart and went back together, have never seen anything like it. Everything was already prepared ready to go.

Was worried initially that recommendations i'd had were from friends or whatever but this isn't the case at all. If anyone needs anything done, he is the man to see :thumb:

Yep paul's a good guy. Mines going in for a 6 speed conversion in a couple of weeks with him.

L.J.F 03 April 2014 11:58 AM

How much is he charging to do the conversion mate?

stealthbomber 03 April 2014 01:09 PM

He reckons it'll be around £300 with me supplying the parts. Got some brembos going on too whilst I'm there.

Another thumbs up for Paul

Where is he exactly?

Drakes lane, boreham. Just outside Chelmsford.

Anyone know how much he charges to fit a clutch?

Donnie Brasco 46 10 April 2014 02:54 PM

Try extreme scoobies website for the price re clutch. I highly recommend him too, knows Imprezas inside out

Rab555 10 April 2014 04:34 PM

From memory it's about £610 for a clutch on newage, this includes skimming the flywheel etc.

JWalle 10 April 2014 04:49 PM

They over quoted me for a bit of work so I went to a local guy who I have been using for years to sort my car out. I need to get a downpipe and fuel pump fitted now, whats that likely to cost?

RB5_390 10 April 2014 05:36 PM

Wow, that's pricey!! Mines a classic and have been getting quotes around £300 to fit anew Clutch.

Where from? You are well advised to pay a bit extra and use someone with a lot of Subaru experience.
Was the £300 for clutch and fitting? If so, I think you'll be getting what you pay for!

From my experience, and several clutches the £600 is slightly above average, bit Paul's experience is well worth it, you truly know a pod jobs been done to the highest standard, and this does include skimming the flywheel too remember.

The governing factor is of course, the make and type of clutch being fitted. Paul fitted an ACT unit to my STi and the final bill was a grand!
Don't forget to pay by card for the hardware and cash for the labour:norty:
