Roughly how often do you need to empty oil catch cans?

Hi just purchased a 480/480 fully forged hawk, the oil catch can requires emptying as its not a return to sump one, any ideas on how often I should be getting it emptied?
Thanks in advance Matt

That will depend on things like engine health, severity of use, catch can capacity, and so on.
If it's half full then empty it I would say.

I thought as much but thanks anyway, going to be my daily driver so suppose I better check it regularly going forward then I should be able to gauge how often after a while

Hello m8
Congrats on your purchase , always nice to see a strong Hawk on the forum :)
Is your can 2 port or. 3
Are you running PCV or direct ?
All will make diff answers
Will always need empty more in colder months ESP if crankcase direct to can , as moisture sets in
As a rule I empty & clean mine once a month ( but that's me ) :)
