NHS fraud.The real number.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-26654001

Following on from the thread about dental fraud. As always just the tip of the iceberg.Government figures only take certain things into account. The suspected real cost is 7bn as per ex head of NHS fraud department.

The NHS are cutting fraud investigators & using more private companys to supply services.THe backdoor stealth way for MP's to get there mates in & reap the benefits

But we don't know the real number it seems. What I find more worrying is that the Department of Health are refusing to recognise this study and at the same time don't speculate on the real number.

Very arrogant IMO for a public body.

What else can we expect from any public body.
I mean it is not like they are in competition with anybody.

An organisation like the NHS is going to be inefficient and prone to being ripped off by various agencies. The IT fiasco (£11 billion) and the amount lawyers make out of compensation cases (more than the victims).

Golden handcuffs that keep its employees happy. Snuffle snuffle.
Let's not forget about the rather generous pension schemes either.

The fact that pretty much 100% of GPs work for the NHS is taken for granted - but IMO, this figure should really raise a few questions about why this should be the case.
We then have the legions of behind the scenes managers etc who had their apotheosis as the PCTs under Gordon Brown's NHS investment scheme - all involved in empire building of one sort and another. It wouldn't be so bad, except that they were a constraint on productivity with their arbitrary and capricious Modus Operandi. I am sure this will all change with the advent of NHS England.:wonder:

We are constantly told how wonderful this organisation is, it even got a special place of honour in the Olympics opening ceremony.
Yeah, it is so good we have to be continually be reminded of it.
Is it time to sing the red flag yet?
Or shall I just hoist the white?
