You wont find the torque setting for the oil jet/squirter's in any of the manuals.
Make sure they are flushed through with brake cleaner or similar and the check valve is working inside them - the check valve will lift off its seat at approx 57 ~ 60 psi allowing the oil to spray the underside of the piston crown and gudgeon pin. A very small dab of loctite on the first couple of threads and nip them up with a 1/4 drive ratchet and long extension ( dont forget to fit the small aluminium washer on the oil jet first). They have been known to fall out hence the loctite. On some stroker builds, the oil jets will contact the piston skirt at BDC - so either delete the oil jet or spot machine the mounting face on the crankcase to lower them for clearance. Mick |
Thank you very much Mick ,you have put my mind at rest
