What oil for 350 bhp STi
Hi all, what oil are people running with their blob sti's? I have just been looking at 10-50 Titan pro race s and millers 10-50 or 10-40 my car has just hit 70k miles (fully synth) Thanks

any of the above will be perfect :)

the 10w40 will be fine for daily road use.
Trackdays I would go with the w50 oils. They cope better with the additional heat. |
Ta, any preferences over Fuchs or millers?

Ask Oilman here:
https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ions-here.html So long as you use the revs/boost often, then I expect he'll recommend 10W-50 if a Classic; and 10W-40 if a New Age. And yeah, Fuchs Titan Race and Millers CFS are probably the most popular. Certainly fantastic full Ester, full synth oils. Oilman will say they are as good as each other, so just go with any brand preference you gravitate to. I use Pro-S 10W-50 in my STi 5 (384bhp). |
Hi
I'd probably go for a 10w-50 if it goes on track or a 5w-40 if it's road use only. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-659-10w-50.aspx Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul 300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. And right on cue, the Genie's come out of his lamp. :D ;)
Sorted. :) |
Cheers!

Decided on Fuchs 10-50 6 litres for the price of 5! Oilman, could you recommend a diff oil as well please? Cheers
|
That's what I use. :thumb:
Oilman recommended me Redline Shock Proof for my original 14yo 'box, and their GL5 for the rear diff (both 75W-90).... Something to look at on their site, whilst you're waiting for oilman's response. :thumb: |
