Hi,

Just booked in the Impreza MY00 for 7500 mile service. Forgot to ask how much it would cost, any ideas?.

Cheers

Rob.

Try what I did. - As the 7500 service is just an oil and filter change plus checking fluid levels, I supplied my own oil and told them not to check fluid levels as I do this every week! As there was nothing else to be done they aggreed and just did the oil and filter change, stamped the book and charged me £33! If there is nothing you need them to check out or put right give it a try?

I was quoted around £125 for mine which goes in next week, thought it a bit steep myself especially when I have not even done 4000m yet.

Get them to write down on the booking in form what you DONT want doing. Then they have no excuse to do such shameful things. Check the invoice carefully before paying and you are sorted.

Pete, with all your bad luck with Subaru, why the hell are you still driving one?

pslewis 03 May 2001 11:15 PM

hey, Butty its a great car is it not??

THATS why I still drive it - also there is the small point that its MY money that buys it, runs it, maintains it and its me who takes the loss come resale time - I bought to be in for the long term, 10 years say!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I am one of those on here whos REAL personal money is tied up in the car, for gods sake I could have bought Wales for the price of my car (just joking! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif ) - its ever so easy for those who dont actually own one, but drive one, to be flipant about subjects ........ its the REAL owners like me who have their money on the pulse! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I believe this thread has gone severely of topic.

I know Scoobs are expensive but taking it out of your ass is a bit too expensive for me!

Pslewis,
You will like this - I too have my own money tied into my car (p1!! - no gold wheels tho').......It is never going to be *cheap* to run a Subaru - so stop your whining.......! I've had cars that cost 4x as much for servicing, and often without a smile..... Get *REAL* Lewis, if you want cheap servicing and dont want to lose much, buy a SMART car or a MINI......and/or join another BBS http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

PS - You have been well behaved in recent days !! - you may be old(er), but thats no excuse......

Your grammar is terrible for someone who's job it is to put cameras up peoples 4rses http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

You wasted your OWN money on a P1 - or should I say NHS money?!

Pete

Gastro 04 May 2001 12:33 PM

OK Lewis,

My *spelling* is not great at this time of night......but my *grammar* is OK....!!!
Nothing to do with the NHS....what I do with my money is my business !!! Call it financial therapy - you need alot of it when you work in the NHS - believe me.....
Boy, hope I'm doing your next endoscopy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
