Inside Rolls Royce.

That diamond is about 1/10 of a mm too high. I noticed it I drove past the local food bank queue. The cars going back............

LSherratt 20 March 2014 10:50 PM

I'm watching this and the attention to detail that they put in is absolutely incredible. I can appreciate and understand more why their reputation is so high.

RobsyUK 20 March 2014 10:54 PM

Are they not just playing up for the camaras?

LSherratt 20 March 2014 10:58 PM

I doubt it...

Ellie* 20 March 2014 11:00 PM

Absolutely ridiculous!!

fpan 20 March 2014 11:12 PM

Most of the people that were interviewed driving the Wraith seemed to be narcissists.

Worlasshasansti 20 March 2014 11:15 PM

It was me that bought the one with all the diamonds and stars n sh*t

Mick

LSherratt 20 March 2014 11:16 PM

Wraith 0-60mph in 4.2 and 1/4 mile in 12.2. Not too shabby but you can buy a faster and better performance car for a hell of a lot cheaper ;)

I've sold it on to we buy any car now as it cost a fortune in fuel bills, I got £4600 for it which was nice.

Mick

In parts that was my impression, Rolls Royce have some of the highest standards around but imo they over played it a bit. Thats understandable though as that programme was a great advert for them to portray perfection.

As an example, they had one of the finest jewellers in the country inserting the diamonds into the panels, i very much doubt the jeweller would return the panel to Rolls Royce if one diamond or a couple of them were at a slightly different heights to the others. Your not talking Franks jewellers down the local market here.

ScoobyDoo555 21 March 2014 02:31 PM

Well it was a promotional tool for RR.

It's an attention to detail that would make Ron Dennis appear laid back :D

Rescue Dude 21 March 2014 02:52 PM

I've been round there.

The best bit was the guy who does the final inspections and marks up any faults and paint blemishes that need further work.

He was absolutely the epitome of a perfectionist.

The attention to detail is unbelievable.

Yes it was slightly over the top for the film crew, but my son is the manager for the wood department there and trust me the attention to detail there is second to none.
Any and i mean any blemish in any part gets throw away and remade, and if its a part that has to match in the whole car set is dumped and remade.
