No idea of tank size but the gauge on my 95 WRX doesnt seem calibrated correctly, the first "half" of the tank lasts a lot longer than the second "half" of the tank. Mine could of cause be knackered.
|
i always assumed the fuel tank might not be completely square, as in it might be wider at the top so has more fuel in that half.
|
I get around 140 miles for the first "half" of the tank and only about 100 for the second, Scoobs must have a funny shaped fuel tank..
|
I recently got 200 miles out of the first half a tank on a motorway run, and that was cruising at sensible motorway speeds.
Its just a shame that the second half doesn't last as long .. (which is typical for most cars I think) |

No it doesnt. All early cars have a 50 litre tank with later cars having a 60 litre tank. No Imprezas have a 40 litre tank. |
my RA definatly dont, i`ve managed to get 45 litres in when its been really low, and i usually get about 180 miles from 40 litres of v power
|
my haynes subaru book states all turbos have a 60 liter tank
|
After a Sunday blast round the North Pennines with the WYIOC, I have managed 325 miles on my last tank full, 57 litres = 26 mpg.
dunx P.S. Just gone de-cat, used to only get around 310 ! |
i only managed 200 miles on a tank on the same run as dunx :wonder:
|
130 mile for £20 worth of fuel

Then it is wrong; many Imprezas books are snided with mistakes. Later Classics have a larger tank, early ones have a 50 litre tank.

it a book telling you about the history of the impreza and subaru plus the spec of just about every model made. it also goes it to bit of detail about maintaining and modifying a impreza. it also has a list a websites in the back and scoobynet is their among them.
Much of the info in there is about as accurate as a blind sniper. The Brian Long books are far better. |
