Iphone 6 drain issue
Hi has anyone else had issues with their iphone 6 going from 100% to 1% in minutes
|
Yes, my son has. The battery life is comically short these days and he gets the 1% report frequently. He find that when he plugs it in to charge there is actually much more but it's not impressive for a relatively new phone.
|
Could it be software glitch
I'm discovering Apple addresses/ apps deff Not infallible |
Apple told me its a software issue as they checked the battery and it was still 78% but how long does it take its been 2 months
|
That's a brush off
|
phone was one week out of warranty i thought maybe they will just swap it but nope
|
jack gone to ground I see ;)
|
nope, had mines 2 years then upgraded to a 7.
My father inlaw now has it and no issues. Sounds like your battery may be caput tho. |

What actually happens when the battery gets to 0%? Does it actually switch off or does it carry on as if it was still charged?
|
Neil it doesnt even get down to 0% it cuts off at 27 or 38 or just when it feels like it it can jump from 100% to 58% just on standby within say 20-30mins
|
That sounds more like a faulty cell to me, probably needs a batt replacement.

Its a pain

I've been traveling to work all day, sorry. This was a common complaint that affected some models and OS versions, is it up to date?

Has the same issue with my 5s battery draining in no time but gave it to it man at work and he changed some settings and perfect since
I think he just googled the issue and sorted it that way |
Sounds about right.
I still get a reasonable battery life from my launch day 6+. Left the house at 4am yesterday, used the phone a lot for nav and calls and it ran out at about 11pm. |

Yes its been backed up even reset and had latest update 10.2
Any idea what test Apple did to see what the battery level was? 'Cus i can't think of anything meaningful that could be done by one of their 'Geniuses'. |

That thread tells you how you can get the info yourself. |
It's not a software issue.

Yeah a full factory reset was going to be my suggestion but it's starting to look like a battery/cell issue (as Bioforger said).

I even offered to pay for new battery but was told battery was fine
|
How much do they rush you for actually changing it ?
|
£77
|
Nice work if you can get it

YOU are clearly blinded by your insane belief that nothing could possibly go wrong with an apple device.
What could it be then Jack? he's exhausted all software options, reset it and updated it. I'll eat your own apple if i'm wrong. |
Oh, that's why I mentioned the recall and unlike you suggest that it might be a software issue. Wake up you jumped up prick. Reset it to factory default - which I very much doubt was done - then see.
