The injectors are still STI injectors - the 400 hp run was on race fuel 116 octane unleaded - lean at 6000 plus but effective - I am currently working with a manufacturer for some 650 size high imp injectors for the GBD engine - along with an upgraded fuel filter and fuel line those should be good for 400 hp

For those that doubt what i am doing with the STI - take a look at these dyno sheets from the i-club

http://forums.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=214295&pagenumber=2

As for the delta dash log posted on the last page - - that was with my old turbo set up - in 3rd gear and on the street with street fuel and the reason why the boost was wavy was becuase I was susing a Bitz EBC - it did not work that well witgh the external wastgate - now I have a Greddy Profec B - it works much better - holds more even boost

sadly I cant make any more delta dash data logs becuase I now have the LINK as of today

As for the boost spikes - as I said previously - it would be very easy to ad a external wastgate and dump tube onto the upipe

116 octane would make a massive difference and goes a long way to explain your logs.

Have you got a power run print out? I'm interested in what torque you got and where. Good luck with the Link and keep us informed.

There is a dyno sheet posted there in that link I inserted in my last post here - - that dyno sheet did have a small NOS shot added in there to spool the turbo - 50 shot - - but it gives you some idea of what a bone stock STI block can manage

Last night I was tuning the LINK on the rolling road and ran into some dificulty with the stock mapo sensor - I could only approach 22 psi no more - got 350 wheel hp with a very rough tune on 100 octane unleaded - there is a 3 bar map sensor option so I am installing one today and will try it again in a coupel of days with the addition of the new and larger 650 cc injectors which I am working on - between thos eand a much larger fuel filter I should be able to do smonething about those 130 % plus duty cycles on the sti injectiors up top

BTW my JDM version sti has the pink 565 injectors - - I heard you UK version sti's only have the 440 blue ones - is that true???

I think the UK STi (7) has 503's.

Matt :)

Alfred,on the Link you have how is cam control altered?

So has pete come up with a fix then ???

Is the fix for the Exhaust of just to restrict the boost.

If your after a restrictor, just try welding tips, same thing, and they come with different size holes.

But surley if its the up pipe, the fix of a restrictor is not the answer

?????

The up pipe sleeving has a *positive* effect. The expansion joint is there for a reason, and my bet is that cracked manifolds will be the long term (and maybe not so long) by product of fitting solid up pipes to STi7's (as well as blown gaskets as in ours).

My reason for asking was for the boost spikes. It seems 1.5 bar or thereabouts is the spike here with full decat from turbo back, increased to 1.7 bar if the up pipe is changed too, so yours is in line with that.

In all their work on the PPP, Prodrive have NOT touched the original up pipe.....

It is clear that the STi7 ECU and ramifications of fitting a full decat are totally different to a WRX, and very little research has been done on this so far in the UK.

Like so many Impreza bits, the best solutions will probably come out of New Zealand and Australia first, not the UK.

Got a boost gauge fitted today, what is the conversion of Mpa to bar/ psi?

Andy
Edit.....used http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/dictA.html and got the conversion
Car is peaking at 1.3 bar/18.85psi as std. (in 5th)
