Very nice, some real tidy touches on there - the clips for the bumper are a great idea:wonder:

I have a real camera if you'll pay the air fare:norty:

Like that mate looks spot on. Can I ask whats the dangling from your steering wheel? Sorry if its a dim question seen a few cars with it

Cars have this to run horn electrics and so on rather than using the existing electric in the clock spring. The coil means that it will curl around the steering column when the wheel turns through more than 180 degrees without stretching or breaking the wire:thumb:

It's very race/rally car-esque:D

JonMc 17 October 2012 09:18 PM

It's looking good Marty and I still agree with Martin, but I know you don't want to. Any reason for not doing the fuse box cover:wonder:

Cheers Jon makes sense now

Martin

I'm planning to use an 8-core curly cable to remote the 4 buttons from my PSI3 on to my steering wheel:norty:

Just finished it on Sunday ,
I did want to do it but time wasn't on my side + my alarm/immobiliser key pad if fitted inside this.
I will when I get a little more time.

I have to say it gives me the idea of doing a similar job in red:norty:

I was thinking if having a black centre consol and do the glovebox and under the steering wheel in grey ;)

I was toying with plasti-dipping the glovebox etc, but that suede would match my roof-lining and door cards...

That would look good Jon, I would also consider plasti coating the pillars to match in with the rest of the bits you have done.

JonMc 17 October 2012 11:08 PM

Can't do the pillars at the moment, they're out of stock of black at the mo:(

That car does look nice, an no mate I'm not, sat here in the damp and miserable weather of the UK but I do have acquaintances in the US Army, Marines and the NSA:norty:

kaa273 18 October 2012 08:00 PM

are there air vents in the boot from the wheel arch, I just seem to be getting a lot of condensation

JonMc 18 October 2012 08:06 PM

There's a couple of vent at the bottom of the wings behind the bumper iirc, plus 2 vents in the parcel shelf. If you do a search you'll also find lots of threads about leaking lights and spoilers and my boot seal is far from water tight too:eek:

kaa273 19 October 2012 01:39 PM

tried the spoiler and lights but not leaking there. I know if I park on a hill facing down the boot seal leaks in the drivers side corner, but most of the is the level but I still get a lot of condensation and smells really fusty/damp. Just running out of ideas

I park nose up the drive after finding the passenger footwell full of water after a storm:eek:

If I don't use the car for long periods I have put one of these in there before now...

Unless it's left for a while I don't get any problems these days:wonder:
