I'm not insulted - Bored is more accurate ;)

Another bitter sniper - lots on here :sleep::sleep:

Enjoy the Skodas.

No bitterness here, just a little tired of your constant bragging. :nono:

Grow up and realise that not everyone is as materialistic or as self centered as you are.

Now Mr "McCain factory on your shoulder" - this is a website centred on interesting cars. Having had several for a while, I've run a fairly dull car for four years. So now there is an interesting one on the drive, I'm pleased about it and many seem keen too - hence the thread about it getting many replies. None bitter, none sniping like yours. So why not get off your high horse and ignore those terrible threads that have you writhing around in some kind of bitter rage and get on with your own life?

This website attracts a rather large number of muppets who feed off sniping at others while clearly having a sodding chip on their shoulders. I'm sure you wouldn't say no to a 335d would you? Or an RS? Or a GT-R? Or a Mountune ST? Well shut up then.

So everyone who pulls you up on your bragging is jealous? :cuckoo:
Have you ever thought that maybe it's you that has the problem?

There are plenty of other well off people on this site that don't feel the need to go on about their 'wealth' like you do.

Yeah, but even after that, the older 2 liter engines (petrol) used to have some issues, then again that was at least 5 years ago.............

Ah, a child reference.

If we're on the subject, wouldn't you be one who brags because of lack of self confidence....

The fact you've been hounded off several forums in the past suggest you're the one with no life.

Sorry scoobyjawa - Couldn't help myself ;)

I also go round bends with the throttle pedal on and similarly I'm yet to go anywhere near a hedge, or understeer off the road.
:

Still having problems achieving these things, man you must drive slowly.
Take your hands off the steering wheel on violent acceleration then youll see torque steer (its the force you have to fight against).
Ps feel free to video record this just so there is a record of your accident someone can post on youtube when they find your trashed car.

If a 225bhp ST understeers and torquesteers adding 70bhp to it isnt going to improve things. think thats common sense.

P1Fanatic 19 August 2009 01:18 PM

Where did torquesteer come from - Mr Clarkson? Im sure its only come around in the last 3-4 yrs with the Astra VXR being the pioneer. Why would you take your hands off the wheel to perform such a test. As long as its not ripping the wheel out of your hand Im not sure I see the problem. Im sure Ive seen similar things in a 400BHP R34 I was passenger in.

Simon

Steve vRS 19 August 2009 01:32 PM

I've never seen torque steer as a huge problem. Hold the wheel with two hands like it's designed for and don't treat the throttle like an on/off switch.

The only problem with this is the Astra VXR whose throttle is like an on / off switch. It was very difficult to drive smoothly on track.

Steve

I've drove both a VXR and ST, both torque steer but it's not a problem when u hold the steering wheel with both hands. They both pulled much harded than my WRX when rolling especially the VXR.

Why would I want to drive quickly without holdng the steering wheel? And you were coming across as relatively intelligent until this post. :D

Feel free to come up to Lancs and have a play in my ST, you will be rather surprised. :)

Janspeed 20 August 2009 11:37 PM

Whatever!!! lol :lol1:

rabbos 21 August 2009 12:55 PM

Lol at all this driving around with hands off the wheel.

Only the mentally retarded require two hands to crack one off.

Matteeboy 21 August 2009 12:58 PM

Try driving an auto/semi auto - left hand feels semi redundant...

No torque steer though.

paulwrxboro 21 August 2009 06:22 PM

My mate says he gets more torque steer in his evo 360

Matteeboy 21 August 2009 06:46 PM

Actually I thought the one I tested (FQ360) had a bit - I thought I was just going mad though as it's decent 4WD. Still probably the quickest point to point car on the planet though.

But it is expensive as fook, like the FQ-400 which is like 50k..................

Janspeed 09 November 2009 01:51 PM

It seems that the Mountune focus actually had more Torque than the RS they had for the test.....

Not only that, they said it had + or - 250 PS, but it was closer to 290 PS!!!

It is in this months EVO mag.

They also mentioned that "this should now put to rest a lot of forum discussions" LMAO!!!
