My apologies for not being able to make this; unfortunately my dad passed away on Friday night.

However I will definitely see you all at the summer tunnel run.

Glad to see it all went well for those who attended.

Sorry for your loss mate, i cant think of anytrhing worse!

The night was very good and only a few chavs messing around but overlal a good meet... The lineup for the scoob vs evo never happened sadly however number of scoobs to evos was far more superior!! :luxhello:

Meet some new people and managed to put some faces to forum names.. also had a great chat with some random about me RB. :D

Likewise, RB is super clean, really nice example!

Was a decent night out, had to shoot off slightly earlier than anticipated as the hangover was getting the better of me :freak3: can't believe neons are still acceptable in public though, definitely takes me back to my chav days.... :lol1:

Lorraine - have you tried going on the policy as a named driver? Parents as named drivers bring the price down quite a bit :) are the sports all 2.0 or are some 1.6 still?

Rab - don't forget this is Essex. In the younger community your not cool until your saxo/corsa/fiesta/fiat pinto has neons and spinning fake chrome rims and a boom boom box in the boot haha

Ace - very sorry for your loss bud. I'm sure you'll have the strength to bounce back from the pain soon. Get yourself to a few more meets to keep a smile on your face.

Sad news :(

Sorry to hear that mate.

Will look forward to crossing paths at the tunnel run

Yea there was not much in the way of Evo's, must have been at least 30+ Imprezas. Didnt stay long and as the night went on it seemed the racers were out for the Lakeside GP.

Yep I am named driver on her present policy and also the quotes she is looking at now - unfortunately because of the theft of my last scooby and another incident when my present one took a bashing from a drugged up driver whilst it was parked on my drive - neither case being my fault but my own insurance record isn't that great now and only reduced her premium by a couple of hundred :( but every little helps :D
And yes, there are a few 1.6's about :)

Lol with the Lakeside GP :D

Well looks like quite a few of them racers will be receiving some mail through the post :lol1:

Police were out , undercover !!

http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/1040..._event/?ref=mr

Everyone was warned :nono:

Some muppets just can't help themselves thou :p

Apart from that ! It was a fantastic turnout of scoobs :thumb:

Was nice to meet and greet a few new faces to the club :D :thumb:

Hope you all enjoyed yourselves :luxhello:

RB5_390 08 May 2013 12:12 PM

Yeah i saw this in the Echo too... and am glad there cracking down on them. What is nice is that the Police have stated they have no problem with us 'enthusiasts' meeting and chatting, its just a shame that a minority (chavs) have to act like total pr...s.

DantheMan2605 08 May 2013 02:47 PM

Nice pics.

'twas a good turnout. Not one single hawk... Tut tut

Essexdon 08 May 2013 08:45 PM

I don't think anyone will admit to driving like Miss Daisy when owning a Subaru but there are times and places to enjoy the car. Clearly sticking to rules of the road and dicking about at an event like this when you know the Poliz are just waiting for a reason, throw the book I say.

But for all the negativity that surround the evening it was very enjoyable, Ron did a good sound sorting it out, nice to chat to newbies and regulars and I cant say I saw one Subaru "chaving" it up.

All in all a good night and far more enjoyable to the Southend run :)

Essexdon 08 May 2013 08:46 PM

Bloody auto correct you get the idea...

53 08 May 2013 08:59 PM

Dirty Skoda in pic 2 ;)

Essexdon 08 May 2013 09:13 PM

So you did chav it up then stu lol?

53 08 May 2013 09:33 PM

No not my dirty Skoda, someone else must have a VRsh!tbox :D

Next one is going to be on 6th July , Lakeside lockdown

But then i see your name down for this already ;)

https://www.facebook.com/events/505611712810094/

Maybe we can tie this into the southend run , Do the southend 1st .... Then for those who are up for it, Rumble on down to lakeside after  :thumb:

Just to add ... i won't be able to do this , As i've got a end of a era drink / p!ss up , With all the guys at work , as Ford is shutting our department down, We are all out on the lash , to say a good farewell to all those who are retiring / leaving / or moving to another location. So i can't really miss this :(
