no petrol!!!

mowing the lawn is going to be a bugger

Stick a NGK PFR7B sparkplug in it - one supplied by member 99greenwagon will be best - so as to best scavenge what's left. :lol1:

Won't last long - but boy, you'll have whale of a time whizzing around the garden as if on speed!

Just keep an ear out for det; you don't want the cutter breaking!

ScoobyWon't 29 March 2012 10:09 PM

I went to Walcot in Lincolnshire, which is a tiny village, to see a supplier. The petrol station was actually ringing up the locals to say they only had a tiny amount left and would be shutting by 13:30, so if they needed some, get down there quickly. My supplier said she'd got enough, but asked if I wanted them to stay open for me.

Just been to Tesco in scunny after my 2-10 shift. Few cars there but no great panic. Half the pumps are coned off but 95 unleaded available and diesel too. But no friggin 99 momentum for Andys Scooby :(

I'll be damned if normal is going in there! Takes three tanks of super to dilute it out and do you know how hard it is to keep a decatted TD04 off boost!! :lol1: Not 4 bloody tanks worth! I'll drive to Doncaster or Hull and make a day out of it.

Usual middle earning leftie liberals driving their Vauxhall and/or diseasel shīt euro boxes supping my 99 goodness dry! Bąstards :(

I'll be at Rother Valley Country Park on Sunday, should you feel like driving a little further than Doncaster. I'll introduce you to my pet bear! :D

Truss 29 March 2012 10:55 PM

Apparantly theres no v power left at wolverhampton (tettenhall road) where I normally fill up. (no 99ron closer to me)
Now,as i'm a rational person, I expect that they will have a refill either tonight or tomorrow, but if my light comes on, and the mob has taken it all again, do I put 95 in and some octane booster to get me through?

joz8968 29 March 2012 11:10 PM

97 (if they have it) and keep off boost. If not, 95 and keep off boost. :D

'Self control' for a week or two - surely you have it within you? ;)

kingofturds 29 March 2012 11:12 PM

As long as you are not bouncing the car off the redline a bit of 95 won't do any harm taking it easy

Truss 29 March 2012 11:15 PM

Haha, i'll try my best. Am I right in thinking that newage cars will pull back a bit on crap fuel anyway as a safeguard, or have I dreamt that?
I just want to give my engine a fihgting chance should it all be sold.

Makes no odds to me. I'll be in the lake swimming with the dogs.
My wet-suit is about the same thickness as clingfilm, which should be fun. :o

I see people are queuing again today at the stations. What will people do when there really is a shortage I wonder?
Was watching bbc news this morning it seems they are trying to stoke up the hysteria even more over fuel.

fivetide 30 March 2012 11:03 AM

Easter strikes ruled out. Now can everyone please replace their pants and carry on?

Heard on the news that a woman was decanting petrol from one container to another in the kitchen with the cooker on.........

Guess what?

Badly burnt as a result. Feel sorry for her so I won't make any obvious comments.

joz8968 30 March 2012 01:29 PM

Yeah, they mentioned that in the BBC news item as linked in post # 136. ;)

The country (planet) is full of retarded fools and stuff.

Who'd have thought gas cookers and petrol didn't mix. You learn something new every day.

I love this soundbite from a labour peer

Labour peer, said Maude should resign. On his Twitter account he wrote: "This woman was following advice from Govt Minister Francis Maude & ends up with 40% burns. Disgraceful. He shd resign."
It's the governments fault she decided decant petrol next to a gas cooker. She should sue for compo.

Gear Head 30 March 2012 01:54 PM

I went out Wednesday night in the end. Made two trips for mine and mrs car. Took me and hour and half and the station is only 8 miles away!
I wouldn't have minded but it was 10pm and there were at least 10 cars in front of me both trips.

Both our cars were near to empty though so we had no choice. I'm just glad I filled up on Wednesday. :D

That's what I'm thinking. Last few days before the end of a quarter that could go either way. If the economy contracts then we are officially in a recession....agian.

Dave - George, we need to do something to avoid going into another recession!

George - Let's just lie and say that fuel 'might' run out soon due to strikes that 'might' happen.

Dave - Brilliant, just brilliant! I'll tell the public to fill up only if necessary, but you know what
those plonkers are like. We'll make a killing!

George - Bravo Dave, Bravo!

:D

jonc 30 March 2012 02:47 PM

What I find more amazing is that people actually listened to the Government!!! I mean who does that these days. :lol1:
