The A1 poster was abandoned a few weeks back when the larger hi quality image was getting closer to completion. The 3 organisers are plum tuckered and have been pretty much kept going since Warwick with the Raffle and Auction so we set the target of dealing with the Hi Quality print and the Jim Bamber cartoon then we would call it a day and very gratefully hand over the money raised. Now we have seen how quickly the Hi Quality image has sold we have rethought our stratagy and we will be carrying on with the plan of producing an A1 sized print and possibly a smaller limited print of the image.

Hope this helps clarify things

Thanks for everyones support, now all i have to do is fulfill 400 plus orders in 28 days

Grant

For those above that want an update on orders the above quote is from this thread .

McRaeGathering 03 November 2008 10:43 PM

The postal tubes the items are to be shipped in arrived today.

Packing and shipping is due to commence tomorrow with the first lot of posting commencing at the end of this week.

We will be shipping them in order so the first ones to order will be the first ones to receive thier prints.

The biggest time consuming part apart from updating the status of every single order in the system so people get an email sent to them when the status of thier order changes is the processing of the Special Delivery part at the Post Office. Each item has to have the address typed into the ancient Post Office computer and then they bugger about with stickers. We will be shipping about 20 to 30 per day and expect the whole shipping operation to be completed in about just over 2 weeks from now and just within the 28 days we asked for when you ordered.

To speed things up i have roped in my parents and brother to go to the Post Office and if i could get my dog to hand them over and pay then he would be volenteered as well. I really will try and get the orders out the door as soon as possible and will do everything i can to get peoples orders in there hand today.

The £7 shipping cost really does cover the cost of the shipping and no more. You will see when the package arrives how much we paid for shipping on the post mark. We needed the tracking number and the insurance helps also but the main thing is i wanted thier top service so they might look after the bloody things

Hope this answers your shipping query

Grant

Grant you've done a fantastic job between the 3 of you for organising. I don't think some fully appreciate the effort involved in even the smallest steps. After all it isn't every day you end up involved in something of this magnitude.

I for one am fully grateful for what you've done for Colin and the Subaru community. You'll be telling the grandchildren about this one.

I'll buy you all a beer if you're ever down this way. :thumb:

gutted, website saying out of stock :(

Stevesbluewrx 04 November 2008 10:03 PM

I'm gutted as I only just checked my email account!! Out of stock.

Will there not be anymore in the future in terms of smallER versions etc? I'm sure others like myself who took part would want something like a photo to remind them they are a record breaker!!

Well done to the team again.

Steve

There is a A1 sized poster due for release very soon and it will carry the 3logo's officially. News on this is expected middle of next week, these A1 posters will NOT be limited in quantity so everyone that wants one will be able to obtain one with no problems.

An air freshener, range of kitchenware and crotchless thongs are all being discussed at the moment but in all honosty have no chance of coming in fruition

Thanks

Your ability to respond like this Grant has impressed me no end ;)

AllanB 05 November 2008 07:50 AM

I'm gutted I missed out on this as I didn't get any emails re this. I had a fantastic day there with my girlfriend and we both found the event very moving.

If anyone would have one of these pictures they would want to sell please let me know. I would be willing to pay well for this and make a charitable donation too.

Thanks

AllanB

AllanB my thoughts exactly.

had a great day out, felt proud to be there, endured the hours of queing when doing the mosaic (Although I have no complaints about this and was happy to do so) and now I cant get the memento i was so eagerly looking forward to. :(

Phil 05 November 2008 12:29 PM

There will be as explained a Poster of the Mosiac released soon

Its just the limited edition print that is sold out

EAndy 07 November 2008 02:50 PM

Mmmm 20-30 orders a day.

Tuesday 30
Wednesday 30
Thursday 30
Friday 30

Thats 120 out, must be nearly me soon :D can't wait.

I was just browsing for an update and now seen it clearly states 'within 28 days' I hadn't acknowledged any time scales previously so thought i'd take a look.

This isn't a speed up dig by the way as I appricate all this is being done at peoples own expense and time in organising all this for the benefit of us :)

Still think you should give up your weekends and get mine sent :D

Phil 07 November 2008 02:53 PM

I placed the 3rd order and I am not expecting mine for a week or so ;)
