Okay guys,

At time of posting this thread I also included that I would send the tickets for £1.
Some of you chose to do that. I can still do that if you wish or I can hand them out at the meeting point for the convoy on the day and return your £1. This also eliminates the possibility of them getting lost in the post.

To be honest this is lots easier for me to hand them out on the day as up you can imagine. However if you want them sent then please let me know.

Cheers.

Frayz

Pop mine in the post if you will, Frayz. Not sure if I will make the convoy as I'm waiting to see what my son will be doing re-travel.

Cheers JohnD

I anyone going from Chelmsford that can give a package to Frayz ? :)

JonMc 09 September 2014 08:30 PM

As we discussed mate, I'll meet en route - I do the run across to Chippenham regularly for and I can never get across without a service stop early in the morning anyway!!!

frayz 09 September 2014 08:33 PM

Okay John I'll post yours.
Anyone else?

RB5_390 10 September 2014 07:54 AM

I'll be leaving from Chelmsford so let me know if you need any help.

I'm also on the look out for a passenger ticket as my wife (who I thought wouldn't be interested in coming) would like to join me.

Just had a check of the paddock plan for this year. ESOC will be located in Zone C (Blue) No. 27.

Inviroman 19 September 2014 08:17 PM

So if anyone wants my driver and passenger pass please feel free to take them.
Have a good time all

frayz 19 September 2014 08:43 PM

That's a real shame mate.

Think we have 3 cars on the ESOC stand now.
Going for "Smallest Stand" of the show. Lmao

RB5_390 21 September 2014 12:09 PM

Well Rallyday was a good day and there some very nice cars on display, especially some of the old and new rally cars.

Big Shame with regards to the attendance of the show from ESOC, we had 6 cars show in total, 2 of which we're not Subaru's.. I think it was the smallest club stand on the day

JonMc 21 September 2014 01:57 PM

Small, but perfectly formed (or is that what my wife says:wonder:) - and dont't forget 33% of the Essex stand was from Middlesex:D

Thanks to Frayz for organizing it all the same - it was a great day out until my CEL came on driving home - either my MAF is on it's way out or I've got an airleak in the inlet/vacuum system:rolleyes:

JohnD 21 September 2014 02:15 PM

I've been to every Rallyday (up until last year, with the SIDC) except one and this was by far the smallest club stand I've been on. Having said that, My son and me went to one of the very early ones in the Sierra Cosworth he owned then and we noticed that the club area for the Essex RS owners group had precisely NONE!
Long gone are the days when Essex was the heartland of Scooby ownership.

bigtel 21 September 2014 09:53 PM

We only mangaged 3 P1s!!

Nearly talked John into defecting before the rest of you arrived ;0)

RB5_390 22 September 2014 08:10 AM

I completely forgot about that 33% of the stand... It is a real shame as not only is it a great opp to show off ya pride and joy and represent the Essex Subaru scene but the amount of time and effort spent by Frayz goes to waste which after time will make you think 'what's the point'.

In other news, how good was my timing in catching you up on the M4?! Literally yards before the junction to take and I show up

We can take some comfort in the thought that if the Middlesex group had a stand it would have been the smallest?

k_duraman 26 September 2014 02:47 PM

i am guttered that i couldn't make it. and sorry to let you guys down. i hope you guys had fun though. it looks like a top event.

IainMilford 26 September 2014 04:51 PM

I actually think the smallest stand was the one opposite us, which was empty until around 11am and then had 2, maybe 3 cars at most in :D

Beds and Bucks scoobys iirc

SirFozzalot 28 September 2014 05:44 PM

It's a shame interest has died off so much now.

I remember back in the day this is what the ESC stand looked like....

Scoobs as far as the eye could see.

Yes we did only have 3 cars on our stand :brickwall(we was there about half 9) but that was because most of our members that had tickets backed out mostly at the 11th hour for one reason or another  and another member has just got his series McRae back on the road after a respray so that was on the series McRae stand but have said all that, we have never been able to drum up that much interest in this show and this was our 6th year of attending as a club, i just dont understand why people wont even go once as im sure they would return year after year as i keep telling them...........forget every other show/event this is THE one to go to :thumb:
i may be grovelling next year to get on another clubs stand if i cant press gang more members to go :norty:

cheers

Pete (Beds and Bucks Scoobys)
