this is one nice motor.very stealthy and properly done.to someone who doesn't know much about cars,it just looks pretty much standered.which is how i like cars to look.but to someone who does know what there looking for and appreciate quality and top spec parts then this car is worth every penny of what the owner wants.sadly though when a car has had this much time and money spent on it and with the market as it is,its a bad time to sell.

I've got 10 grand if you need it...

right that makes more sense now it has been explained and not just a statement popped up,

micky sorry for deviating from your thread but in a way i hope it in some way helps to point out what value yours actually has.

Thats exactly the point i was making, not taking anything away from Kas's engine, that was built to a specific power level, Mick's engine was built to a higher spec, power level, to which i have the full build spec if required, the point being as soon as 2.35 is mentioned most people think 800 bhp, which there are very few to that spec.
Its just down to personal spec of what's required to do the job its put to, & vastly differs in price.

Where has the car been used, track or strip and how often.
I think this is the issue with Frayz car, it has not been used in anger anywhere to prove its ability. I am more than certain if Frayz did test his car it would pass with flying colours but I hope you see my point.

Budgie
Do you want me to give it a testing at Brands LOL

nice car good luck with the sale ;)

Micky,

If you decide to keep her, there's plenty of us in Berkshire that meet up regularly. Come along it'll give you an excuse to get the old girl out of the garage ;)

Totally agree with you Pete and your 100% valid points.

However, for those of us who haven't got our big builds on track/strip yet. And those that are built as fast road cars.
What more validation can you give other than spec, engine builder and dyno sheet?

With mickeys car, I think a reputable engine builder and reputable dyno centre is entirely valid as a proven power output.
The fact it hasn't been on track causes people to question the build integrity.

How much track time does a car require before its "proven"?

See what I mean? :wonder:

:):):)

frayz 28 December 2012 05:51 PM

Mickey, out of interest.

Who built the motor and who did the installation work?

It looks beautifully finished. :)

You could put it on low boost, do 10 laps a of a track any track and its proven itself. Pah proven is a very subjective word and Frayz has nailed it by saying the builder, mapper and dyno are the main things are prove the integrity of a car/build :thumb:

micky boy 28 December 2012 05:53 PM

somebody let me know aswell and i will come out out aswell

cheers mickyboy

micky boy 28 December 2012 06:06 PM

everything to do with the engine was supplied by mark at lateral, engine was built by a company that mark uses (bearing in mind he doesnt just use any tom dick or harry).
car was mapped by pat herborne on scoobyclinics rollers
every thing was put in the car by myself and all pipe work was specialy made to suit
ie.
inter cooler pipe work
power steering pipe work
coolant pipe work
fuel lines
fire extinguisher
breather system

the car has done a track day and believe me those of you who may know me will tell you i know how to drive a car.
it was run at full power and didnt give a single problem hence the reason i used lateral perfromance for the engine build / and pat for the mapping

frayz you are correct matey it is finished perfectley.

cheers mickyboy
