Battle Star Galactica!
What I could never understand is why the big shiny robot guys who flew about in the enemy fighters had a seat and joystick etc, why could they just "plug in" to fly it? In one episode they had mental Street Hawk style bikes with fold down wings:) |
Optimus Prime from Transformers or Boba Fete from Star wars.

An extremely wealthy person has one sitting in hanger 10 at Oxford Airport (next to Eddie Jordans hanger) Identical lookalike except for the missiles/guns. Sounds amazing.

Don't go down that road .... it inevitably ends up with "The Littlest Hobo" and the theme tune gets stuck in your head for days and days and days.

That was the Littlest Hobo was it not? Lovely pooch :D
This is great, regressing nicely into my childhood ;) Wait till we hit the cartoons like Battle of the Planets (re-released on DVD :D), Dungeons and Dragons, Ulysses 31 :D:D:D:D:D Top banana :) Carl, I remember Tales of the Golden Monkey :D Bit like a poor mans weekly Indiana Jones (IIRC) ;) Class [Edited by Hanslow - 5/9/2002 3:28:23 PM] |

check out this site! it list just about every TV show ever and lets ppl vote on the point at which they "jumped the shark"
http://www.jumptheshark.com Tiggs ps- jumping the shark is a term to describe the point at which a show does something so dramatic/unexpected that it can never top it and so is on a downhill run from there. an example would be Billy dying in ally mcbeal. i think it comes from when Fonz went water sking in Happy Days and "jumps a shark" after that bizzare scene it was only weeks befor happy days was ditched by the network! it had "jumped the shark" [Edited by Tiggs - 5/9/2002 6:01:40 PM] |
Equalizer was cool coz he had a Jag too, and 'Control' was smooth and Mickey (with the guns) was good too. Interestingly, the music for that was by Stewart Copeland too ;)
Anyone remember MacGyver (it was a bit like the A-Team, but with three of them missing, in that he always made bombs out of scrap in the room in which he'd been imprisoned)? [Edited by carl - 5/9/2002 11:18:57 PM] |
Airwolf was sh*te when it started and the years have *not* been kind to it since then.
Blue Thunder was a great film - loads of the lookers on our squadron ended up with JAFO on their hats - but when they made a series of it they took an ill horse, thrashed it to death and then flogged it some more just in case :( For the record, btw [anorak] The Gazelle is so maneuverable that the stunt pilots were able to effectively reproduce the 360° loop which Scheider is seen performing on screen.' [/anorak] Street Hawk? Knight Rider? Weren't they just the same b*llocks with a different vehicle? You want *real* class? Then you want "The Aeronauts" - a couple of French Mirage pilots who went around doing good. Used to be on before Danger Island, I think, in Banana Splits...
