I recognise that location, was on a random drive with the misses the other week and went up through that tunnel oops was at someones house and out came the ranger lol
Was thinking about photos there in the day light - what is the name of the park Merv? Mind is blank. |
Haha didn't see the Park Ranger that day ;) it's Porthkerry Park Ry :) there were too many cars around the other places !!
|
Nice pics, where's that tunnel too in porthkerry? Its not on the main road into the park.

Cheers Simb :) how's your topless model coming along ;)
All good Merv, done a few bits and bobs, I re-carpeted the bolsters last week and purchased some socks for the twin 45's. I'm finding it runs better without them though, which I presume is down to them being set-up without:confused: Simb |

Been doing some more shopping ;) so far I've got
Headers/up pipe RCM induction kit FMiC Sard FPR Exhaust is getting don't Wednesday too ;) With 1000cc injectors and parallel fuel rails on order :thumb: Hopefully I'll be getting the turbo in the post when it's removed and I'm done til the remap next month :D I did say I'd be happy with 350bhp but this f**king rollercoaster pulls you in everytime :lol1: |

Bloody hell 1000cc injectors how much power are you going for? :wonder:
Are you going to be fitting a 6 speed gearbox? :) 6 speed eventually, longer fifth for the time being :) I'll get a block built at some point, 2.1 all the way :D then SimTek when I do! Gotta get married first !! |

Would be good to get a blast in that on the track mate ;) handlingwise, are they easy to control if things get a bit loose :norty: at the rear ?

Even 850cc seems a little over the top - when I'm running 500bhp I will still be on the 650cc's only when or if I go towards 600bhp would I look at 800cc injectors.
But if they were a bargain then I can see the reason behind your thinking. :) 400bhp will be as far as I'm going for the time being, that will be the limit on the standard block, a 2.1 shortblock will be on the cards soon ;) I loved my old one, sounded fantastic! Will need a 6speed for sure but want a DCCD one though! K Sport brakes will hopefully be stopping me also ;) |

The formula is very straight forward for calculating injector sizing :-
Injector Size = (Engine HP (Flywheel)) x (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) / (No of injectors) x (Duty Cycle) BSFC for Subaru engine (turbo) = 0.55 - 0.60 Static injector duty is 100% but a maximum duty shouldn't exceed 90% with a average maximum duty set to 80% to allow for enough head room. 500 x 0.55 / 4 x 0.9 275 / 3.6 76.38 Ib/hr 1 cubic centimeter per minute (cm3/min) = 0.0 977 964 937 508 Ibs/hr 76.38 / 0.0 977 964 937 508 = 781 cc injectors for 500 bhp at standard fuel pressure at 90% duty For 600 bhp at standard pressure 600 x 0.55 / 4 x 0.9 330 / 3.6 91.66 / 0.0 977 964 937 508 = 937cc Tyron I think your going to need bigger injectors or run a higher fuel pressure which in turns lower ther injector life expectancy.:thumb: |

No worries mate:thumb:
500 bhp is nice usable power for the road especially with a twin scroll turbo you shouldn't get bored too quickly.:) When is the car being mapped? |
