hello Mark & RB5.
Mark - we met at Red Lion, my first meet in Jan. can't make this one but plan to attend again soonish so will see you then. also saw you twice recently in NKT; once near Waitrose and once on Bury Rd - you burbled past as i was jogging. wubba wubba wubba heard even over earphones

RB5 - i work just up the road in Whittlesford so will keep an eye out for you. Have been meaning to try garage on the high st; the owner runs a wagon and has owned a few Evos - you probably know him already. any feedback appreciated.

cheers both

Yeah he's a real decent guy had some work done on a previous car is is friendly and helpful. Seems to be well booked up when ever I ask. Must be a good sign. Gary I think his name is. I live a couple of doors down from the garage.

Hey Baz,

Whereabouts in PeBo are you? I'm over in Hampton, as it seems a few others are.

We had a meet a little while back at the Hampton pub just behind Tesco, and are still trying to sort out the next meet!

musicalbaz 08 May 2011 10:10 AM

Hi there Skydive macca! I`m in the gunthorpe area and have seen and waved/flashed at few local scoobs. A meet up would be cool, just to say Hi etc. I see last time you had the meet was at The Hampton! Nice pub! Lets get it organised lol!!

Hey all, I'm new to this forum so thought I would say hello in here too(!)

I'm Carl from Glemsford in Suffolk and I recently purchased a fairly standard V reg uk 2000 which is goin to be my project car for the forseeable future :D

Also, excuse my ignorance, but I get the impression this website is a resource rather than a club, so are you all in Scooby clubs aswell? (or am I being a complete spanner!?)

CerberusUK 13 June 2011 10:36 PM

Just seen this, suppose I should state that Gary - owner of motorcare in Duxford is my brother in-law (well would be if I was actually married :) ). If your looking for non modifying/tuning mechanical work such as clutch, brakes, head gasket, cam belt, servicing or anything a normal Subaru garage would do then I highly recommend him.

He's been a mechanic for a long time and although the garage may not look flash (its got all the stuff that matters) he really loves what he does and I think that makes a big difference, also quite happy to fit most stuff that you buy/supply yourself which is handy if like me you upgrade bits and bobs/want brand x oil etc or find a bargain on here and don't quite fancy fitting bits yourself. Knows his way around imprezas quite well (has a blob wagon himself ). If your this side of Cambridge then certainly worth a shout, Tell him Dan sent you and he may even give you a discount ;)
