The films were good, but it's a shame Tolkein's family didn't insist on stopping Burger King giving away Frodo's etc.

Just the films would have been fine.

Can't wait for the Hobbit to come out :) not sure it will be as popular as LOTR as it's alittle more lighthearted

Problem with the Hobbit Cino, is that it will be directed by someone completey different and they won't have the same graphics as were used in LOTR and different actors too :(

I am looking forward to it though :D Just hope it's not a let down after LOTR beiing as good as it is :D

oh right.. well I'm hopeing it will be good, will hold judgement till I see it :D would have been ace if Peter Jackson did it, makes sense really

I am hoping too, just dont see how it can be the same with a different Gandalf etc though and some of the places they go to are those also in LOTR so will be interesting to see how they show it and make it etc :D

I'm sure it's Ridley Scott, could be wrong though, I can't remember anything half the time lately :o :lol1:

The only character in both books is Gandalf though, so different actors wouldn't be too much of an issue. (apart from Bilbo obviously, but he would be played by someone different anyway as he's a lot younger).

it will be weird yeh.... it upsets me when they change characters, like they did with dumbledore in HP :lol1:

Bilbo could potentially be the same bloke as they use prosthetics etc so *could* make him look a lot younger, doubt they will though :rolleyes:

I wonder what Gollum will look like for the Hobbit :wonder: Don't know if they will be able to use the LOTR Gollum :(
