I think you'll find that most adult cyclists will have a driving licience and this will also apply to the use of their bicycle, i.e. speeding, drink driving etc. You can be banned from driving a car if you've on a bike and over the limit. Don't know if this would apply to horse riders too, but I would have thought so.

Agree with you about the insurance on both counts.

If that was the case then you'd assume that by having a driving licence, then this would automatically extend to a motorbike which we know is not the case. A driving licence doesn't prepare you properly for a motorbike and nor should it for riding horses or bikes on the road.

If the animals are reared in such a way so that the animals are free to roam and the welfare of the animals are considered eg free range chickens, etc, then IMO its not cruel, if I felt otherwise, I'd be a vegan.

Some horse, experincing a lot of its life at the other end of a riding whip or a kick or two in the side and generally lead a life of servitude and then also end up as food, generally pet food. Is "breaking in" or forcing a horse to do something against its will not cruel then??

Never flew a Harrier Brendan, I did go round Snetterton pretty fast in a Meteor once, but I did not go under the bridge!
