RRB i must have been reading a different thread to you I dont think imlach is being elitist at all??? in what way do you think that???

Jye 12 May 2004 03:58 PM

imlach you own a Scoob, my diesel gets over twice the mpg as your car, so I can afford to go for a burn now and again ;)

And who says I even want to bring children into this fe*ked up world (nowt to do with the depletion of fossil fuel btw) never mind grandchildren?

Chill out and go polish that car sitting in your drive, I bet thats all its used for with your holier than thou save the planet stance, LOL <--- thats me laughing all I like btw, as I have I didnt have a sense of humour by-pass when I joined SN ;)

4pm, byeee........

16vmarc 12 May 2004 03:58 PM

and ive been moaning about paying 84.9p imo

hawkeye 12 May 2004 04:00 PM

bloody hell some people take things so seriously......... why does it wind people up so much that others have a different attitude and /or approach to things

everyone chill out and respect others views

Geddon 12 May 2004 04:22 PM

I bet Imlach will argue anything:)
Nice idea about the patents- however when any bright spark has an idea on alternate powered vehicles, along comes Mr oil company and offers £1m+ (which lets face it is a lot of money to a hot shot student) and buys the patent.
Just imagine a world without oil or religion- what the hell would anyone fight wars about?

hawkeye 12 May 2004 04:38 PM

I dunno m8 me and the missus fight all the time and its not about religion or oil

"mind u the last timed i asked her to wear a nun's outfit and get all oiled up she whacked me" ;)

Assumptions again? I don't own a Scoob :D I used to own one.

That's no reason to justify going around being wasteful....

I think you'll find that whose who REALLY know me know more about my sense of humour than you do :D

See, there you go again, why are you on the attack against someone who cares about the planet? What exactly is wrong with that? Got something you're guilty of perchance? :D

How, exactly, does being less wasteful of resources equate to :

a) being elitist
b) being upperclass
c) living comfortably

I use my car less than I used to nowadays, but I'm failing to see how that is elitist or upperclass??

Elitist would be somebody that rises above all this, doesn't give two hoots what anyone else thinks, wastes petrol, and has a "screw the planet" stance surely :D

asked Shell about prices in the mk area and this was there response.

Thank you for your recent e-mail concerning fue prices in the Milton Keynes
area.

Shell continues to offer highly competitively priced fuels. We have kept prices
as low as possible for as long as possible but given the recent rise in crude
prices this is having an impact on our prices at the pump.

Pump prices are also the result of many other factors including taxes, refined
product prices, exchange rates, distribution and operating costs, as well as
local competition and these all play their part in determining the final pump
price.

Shell always seeks to be competitive in every local market. We are continuing to
monitor the situation closely and each site will adjust prices as required.

Yours sincerely

copying from the same hymm sheet as BP et al me thinks :(
