I cant get my heads round people complaining about the price of maintaining these vehicles,
ive got a simple solution Cant afford it, dont have it. Jeez, |
On my AP CP5200 calipers paid £140 for performance friction pads and that uses a 330mm disc. Oh and mine was a supercar, dont care what you old farts say :p :D

I wonder if Godspeed will be along to confirm this.
Yes they are the same pads as the Aston Martin ones , same as also fitted to a Renault Traffic van lol , pads will fit loads of different cars , they don't make a pad to fit just one car. The pads for the 335mm kit don't fit straight into the Subaru caliper , they do need modifying . So yes you can buy standard pads a lot cheaper than a performance pad , but why would you want to fit a bog standard pad ?? Same can be said for the standard Subaru shape pads , you can buy them as cheap as £10 a set , but they won't have any performance , will cope with normal legal speed driving |
since when have brembo been rubbish brake pads ,,,,,,,,i always thought they was a highly respected company.......???????

LOL at being a supercar pmsl
i was being hassled by a diesel vectra the other day, and now as a result i have to make my car 400bhp just to prove a point over a standard rep's car lol |
i agree the subaru is not massivley fast in a straight line (bypasses) say from 80 - top speed my car is running 298bhp but from point to point acceleration around back roads and town it certainly would not be getting hassled by a vectra!!!!! what car have you fudgey and what sortof power are you producing?

I can't believe how anyone would want to scrimp so badly on something like pads though
I struggle to understand people who just cough up whatever amount is asked for all the time or don't shop around, :cuckoo: I got 20% off some materials today, only adds up to £8 but every mickel makes a muckel, if you don't ask you don't get.:D |

dont get me wrong, when i noticed he wanted to play i did leave it behind, just not as quickly as i thought i would. if driven hard they are pretty capable cars, but up against a ferarri f430 i properly got my arse handed to me lol quick cars they are, super cars they are not |
With 240bhp, you will get beaten my most modern diesels!

I wouldn't call it scrimping, it's the same as shopping around to get the same product at a better price, which is something i've done all my adult life along with asking for a discount, ALL the time which has saved me thousands over the years.;)

He can't use the 500 ponies on the road though as its too vicious remember, how did you find 650 by the way.... :D |
Impreza is a supercar....lol....
Now that is funny, a wrx has about 150bhp per ton out of the box. By today's standards thats really not much, you'd be very surprised how quick these modern diesels and latest small hatchbacks are. |

Can anybody comment from first hand experience the difference on Brembo caliper and decent pads vs the goodspeed 335 setup?
Would be interesting to get some feedback for all those classic and wrx drivers :) |
i nearly lost to a clio 200 in my old uk 2000 turbo with his less weight and me only having a extra 25 bhp he nearly had me i came up against the same clio 200 in my new 300 bhp bug he got left for dust !!!!!
