ok the obvious question know is how or why ? what makes it a low spec 2.35 an what would be needed to make it high spec?
i would imagine that the previous owner had it built to the spec they required so feel free to pm me as not to distract from the OP's thread |
Looking at that car I'd say £22k plus. I can see £3.5ks worth of AP brakes for a start.
Not to mention all those AN fittings etc. Very, very high spec car. Gotta be £22k plus all day IMO. |

Very high spec but I'd like to see someone actually stump up the 22k, there may be someone out there for it but we all know you don't get back a fraction of what you put into them, especially with the market like it is, that's why so many are being broken unfortunately

Try building that car for £44k leave alone £22k.
Theses kinds of cars are not sold to the local chav who's upgrading his corsa. Anyone genuinely looking to buy this car will know what they're looking at. Therefore they will also know what a bargain it is for anything sub £25k |

The car looks like a great prospect for someone.
One question I have is the proven comment at the start. Where has the car got its proven status? Love the car all the same and see it as a 20-24k purchase |
the car looks very good I'd say 20k all day to right buyer.
|
budgie,
with the sort of money been thrown at the car would you expect anything less than the power i am saying it has got, its running 1.9 bar so if you really wanted to push it you could get a bit more from it but i am happy with the figures. mickyboy |
only ever run on vpower aswell so if you really really wanted to you could throw some methanol in and see around 620bhp :)

right got ya but surely not all 2.35 or big builds need the heads and cams to be upgraded too. If the owner does not require it does that mean its a low spec build
The engine in Kas motor isn't what's regarded as a high spec build. No offence. High spec 2.35 IMO, would inc billet crank, carillo or arrow rods JE, omega, pistons etc 14mm studs Fully worked avcs heads with full upgraged valve train and cams WRC high wrap primary drive setup Dry sump etc That to me is a high spec build. |
Mines in the middle then. Lol

Where has the car been used, track or strip and how often. I think this is the issue with Frayz car, it has not been used in anger anywhere to prove its ability. I am more than certain if Frayz did test his car it would pass with flying colours but I hope you see my point. |

Always the bridesmaid:Whatever_ |
Lol. That no problem budgie. I understand where you are coming from. Its only done 1 track day back in september, never done a drag race. Its nice to know that there is a few people out there that can understand the heartache that has gone into this car.
Not to mention the wife. Lol |

It all comes down to personal choice of parts and how the car will be used. |
The 2.35 in Kas's car was built for my target of 600bhp, I told Steve SMG that was the most I was going to go for and he specced it, pistons are his own made only for him, Steve dosnt try and sell you stuff that's not needed, my higher specced lateral 2.1 I had before lasted 1500 miles, I trust Steve and his knowledge of big subaru builds
The car has done Brands and the Nurburgring with out missing a beat, was ran at 2bar the whole time |
Micky your hawk is stunning mate, I would want 20k atleast looking at that spec
|
Appreciate the comments mate.
