Thanks for my parts aswell Alyn, great service (and price) as always :thumb:

I've just had my shifter bush kit installed (cheers to Jez and Shah at Pole Position). The kit arrived from Alyn very promptly, well-packaged with plenty of bubble wrap to keep it safe in transit. It's made a massive difference to the shift, very positive now. On my car noise is a little increased (minor whine from the 'box) but it's normal, and a small trade-off for such a fantastic feeling shift :thumb:

I've not read the whole thread, but is it an easy DIY fit?

Osimabu 01 November 2012 08:22 PM

The very first post tells you all about it.

Can someone post a link to the actual product please? I can't find it on the site.

frayz 01 November 2012 09:49 PM

The product, like many items ASP supply are not on the AS Performance website.

Please call direct to order :)

stockcar 01 November 2012 10:21 PM

the first post has a link to the FB page which shows the product.............

Marky@HPB 17 November 2012 05:38 PM

A friend came in today and commented on these for the six speed. After reading the thread i will be putting an order in for the jdm bug i am building.

Resurrecting an ageing thread perhaps, but I have just had a set of these bushes from ASP fitted to my 05 Blob. The difference in gear selection precision is like night and day.
As Frayz has said and extremely good value for money mod :thumb:

mantazini 28 May 2013 09:27 PM

Got these as well as Frayz suggested... well spent 60 quid... ;)

frayz 28 May 2013 09:55 PM

I'd be doing alright if I were on commission. Lol.
Just plain and simple damn good products and service. :thumb:

Silver Scooby Sport 28 May 2013 09:57 PM

More bushes for the RA :lol1: or are these new age only ?

rooferman 28 May 2013 10:10 PM

6 speed afaik....

Fonzey 28 May 2013 10:25 PM

Hmmm consider me sold. I came to my 05 sti from a 2010 civic type r which had an almost digital gearshift. The impreza is more like a stick in syrup so I'll definitely get a set ordered.

Nope, both 5 and 6 speed kits available guys. Go get some and see what I mean about "bolt action rifle" style shifts. :)

AS Performance 29 May 2013 09:13 AM

the 5spd cars use 2x differing set-ups - the "classic" style ones we supply as an "exchange" set..............

JohnD 29 May 2013 10:30 AM

What is the fitting like on these? Are there any photo's/instructions available?

none of those are our kit Banny, although we do tend to supply the Kartboy rear transmission bushing (simply because its so cost effective and relatively minor change to shift quality).........

our 6spd kit includes the (2x) pairs you require for the linkage UJ, the lower large bushing on the side of tranfer box and also the internal pair required where the linkage joins the stick - to my knowledge no company offers so comprehensive a kit

pics are all on FB

ScoobyDoo69 19 August 2013 01:30 PM

Hi Alyn, I presume this kit doesn't affect the throw at all, just tightens the tolerances?

Thanks

B16fun 26 November 2014 11:36 AM

Morning,
Just reviving this thread. I'm building a classic 5 speed as a track day toy and want a short shift on it but also want a tight action on the shift. Is this kit still available?
Cheers,
Andy.

AS Performance 26 November 2014 12:31 PM

yes we do options for pretty much all of the 5spd / 6spd variants although there are some specific differences so best to contact the office direct to sort

normally all in stock as we find these a very popular and cost effective upgrade
