It still frustrates me that the various HD channels appear patchy with their content. I notice that sometimes Torchwood can seem to jump from HD to SD at times. Plus I'm sure bandwidth is throttled at times as I see inconsistencies in quality. Source differences & processing surely play some part.

I'm not complaining as we are at the birth of the standard and I get a lot of pleasure from watching HD content simply for the detail it gives. My Discovery HD & National Geographic watching times have gone through the roof.... :D

(In fact I find those channels give noticeably superior qulaity than the others. Probably due to the fact that they're always somewhere sunny....)

It's all down to the post production really and the quality of the aquisition kit. You could shoot HD and edit HD for an outlay of about £5k; you can also do it for £150k (plus) - guess which looks best ;) D
