It still frustrates me that the various HD channels appear patchy with their content. I notice that sometimes Torchwood can seem to jump from HD to SD at times. Plus I'm sure bandwidth is throttled at times as I see inconsistencies in quality. Source differences & processing surely play some part. I'm not complaining as we are at the birth of the standard and I get a lot of pleasure from watching HD content simply for the detail it gives. My Discovery HD & National Geographic watching times have gone through the roof.... :D (In fact I find those channels give noticeably superior qulaity than the others. Probably due to the fact that they're always somewhere sunny....) |
It's all down to the post production really and the quality of the aquisition kit. You could shoot HD and edit HD for an outlay of about £5k; you can also do it for £150k (plus) - guess which looks best ;) D
