LOL well done mate, knew you wouldn't be able to resist ;) :thumb:

Should be a fun track with the wheel, only tried the handset as seat/wheel is out in the garage. Did that time on my 3rd or maybe 4th lap of trying so will settle for that (for now ;) )

Neanderthal 23 July 2007 09:36 PM

I'm sure if you changed from gold wheels it'll take a second or two off your time ;)

*although I'm sure if I took the garish vinyl off mine it would be more aerodynamic ;)

Bravo2zero_sps 23 July 2007 09:41 PM

Nah matches the paint scheme and my avatar ;)

Neanderthal 23 July 2007 09:53 PM

I'm online with Jack if you want a few friendly races?

Bravo2zero_sps 24 July 2007 12:42 AM

Really enjoyed that tonight even though i'm no where near being fast enough to win. Took some pics of me and Jack having a tussle around Maple reverse. Every time I ltake more photos in this game the graphics just seem to get better and better!

Me getting ahead and stupidly thinking i'm in with a chance here :lol1:

Me doing what I do best - spin off although at least I didn't take Jack with me this time!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...******/d-1.jpg

and the inevitable - Jack winning by a mile in the end...

Excellent fun with the races afterwards too :thumb:

great pictures, can't wait to get back into the online races so I can give career a miss for a while

the big yim 24 July 2007 07:05 AM

I should be on tonight if anyone fancies an easy crushing victory achievement :)

JackClark 24 July 2007 08:33 AM

Great fun! I'll be back on tonight no doubt.

RichardS2005 24 July 2007 08:35 AM

Yim - what's your gamertag, I may be on tonight. I'm going to squeeze in some racing in between soaps and big brother!

fritz 24 July 2007 08:50 AM

Right worked on my car last night, handles crap(ish) and im not sure im entirely happy with the finished product but here she is (so far).

With my recent addition to the family I can get some game time in between feeds, usually 9pm(ish) to 11:30(ish), so unfortunately i may have to pull out from time to time (happy just to make up the numbers though).

Hopefully see you online soon :thumb:

Fantom 24 July 2007 08:57 AM

I set a fairly nice time in my 22b last night. Still room for improvement.
Neanderthal, I gifted you an impreza for the scoobynet logo if you don't mind.

Thanks
Steve

Neanderthal 24 July 2007 09:17 AM

No probs, I'll sort it out when I get home and gift it back :thumb:

Had a good few races last night. Had to leave early cause I had to get up early this morning. When I left one lobby I got an invite from a mate, so had one race round the Ring and just beat him by .05 seconds! saved the replay so I could take a photo of the finish line. Might be even closer than the one where I raced Jack.

Matt

RB5-Black 24 July 2007 10:20 AM

most of you guys are in the top 1800 drivers so not a bad start really considering you only had a few runs with these cars.

Add that to the fact that the scoobs just arn't the fastest of the 700PI bunch it's an impressive set of times.

Neanderthal 24 July 2007 10:22 AM

Isn't Maple Valley just the most photogenic track! :luvlove: :luvlove:

Neanderthal 24 July 2007 10:30 AM

You can go flat out through the next right hander, but the following right hander needs to be taken slower otherwise you'll be off.
What I found when actually racing (rather than hotlapping) is that I let off the gas coming up to the jump so I only got a little air, makes the car more settled through the following set of rights, leading on to the never ending left hander onto the start finish straight.

Aye cracking pic!
Although you want to be careful, that's so good Sony might nick it to advertise GT5 ;)

I've been taking the jump full pelt but dabbing the brakes on landing to control my line better (slower) through the following bends. I found taking that bend straight after the jump flat out meant I was struggling to take speed off for the next apex without sliding off/losing traction. This maybe where my car is not setup any where near as good as others, Jack's was a lot quicker than mine in a straight line last night for instance even though we both have 700pi scoobs.

LOL :notworthy
Although to be fair, the momentary lift I make won't allow you to close up much from the long distance behind you'll probably be http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/imag...ies/drive2.gif
At least you realise you'll be behind though ;)

JackClark 24 July 2007 10:45 AM

I'm off the throttle when in the air, then back on it, then off a bit and a down change sees me into the next right, back up to fifth flat out to just before the apex of the last left, downshift, turn in and flat out again over the finish.

I could be a bit faster if I tuned the gears a touch as I'm nudging a change to 6th just before the straight. Either stretch 5th out or use all 6 gears.

RB5-Black 24 July 2007 10:55 AM

I'll need to sort the understeer my S204 has before setting any sort of time. It's smooth to drive 1:58 round full mugello but not loose enough for my driving style.

n one 24 July 2007 11:11 AM

Things are moving fast round here, and I dont mean the cars. I`ll have to pull my finger out and sort myself an Impreza. Some really great pics. I`m impressed. The next job will be to pry the wife away from the telly for a couple of hours one evening, that wont be easy :D

Neil.

Neanderthal 24 July 2007 11:12 AM

Yeah, having tried your setup for that Audi around Road Atlanta you certainly like them fast and loose ;)

fritz 24 July 2007 12:27 PM

I think i need to get some practice in!

Great photos too!
