I was a mere JamesH in those days - its where Puff The Magic Wagon! came from :D

CraigH & Stef plus another chap called Stef in a 22B import who as far as I know has never been on the bbs before or since.

Up against Mike R's motley crew ;) Whupped ass :D

Mike - got the link to the write-ups we all did still?

If I finish early I`ll pop up

Dream Weaver 25 October 2004 01:27 PM

Well i'm still here - coming up for 5 years now, and still haven't owned a Scoob yet ;)

Banshi is still about - got an email from him last week, he's just busy with other stuff I think.

Scoobynet has changed, but I still enjoy it on here and will coninue to do so, probably forever now ;)

JackClark 25 October 2004 02:39 PM

I've been here for ages. I don't think I've contributed anything particularly interesting or useful but I've gained a lot of good advice.

MattOz 25 October 2004 02:46 PM

I've been here for ages too. Since early 2000. Organising the first Midlands meets at Braunston, and helping organise the first Ring trip with JF, Harj, Stef etc. Had the sweetest STI5 Type R about, before they became too popular. ;) Remember the good ole days. :D:D

XRS 25 October 2004 02:49 PM

How old do you have to be to be "Old Skool"? I'm sure I qualify, even though I'm not high profile like some of the names mentioned.

Mike R was the one who pointed me in this direction when I became an eXRS owner!

Adam M 25 October 2004 02:53 PM

it still pisses me off that harj is remembered for "his" 22B when all he was responsible for was connign it out of richard squires for a significant period!

Once a tosser, always a tosser. Utterly foolish comment. And the thread was going so well till then. Get over yourself, for Christ's sake.

MattOz 25 October 2004 04:14 PM

Adam M,

I hardly think that was the case. You need to know both sides to stories/heresay/opinion before making such a sweeping "off track" statement.

Andy Tang 25 October 2004 04:40 PM

I remember Adam M when he had a car that didn't sit in the garage having untold amounts of work carried out on it!! ;)

That was a nice silver WRX, although it did have a 'ricey' sticker on the back! ;)

I actually registered on the 12th April 1999, although it got changed to the 4th Decemember 1999 in one of the numerous software changes where it got confused between US and UK dates!

Markus 25 October 2004 05:56 PM

Adam has a car that drives on the road? blimey! (Sorry Adam, I know the blue beasty is actually out and running, and that's fantastic news)

Oh, and Andy, I've just seen the Redline pics, cor, don't you, Tim, Danny and Chuck look all fresh faced, just how I remember you all :D

the moose 25 October 2004 06:21 PM

It's amazing how well all the "old skool" (Jesus, I hate that term) posters get on, isn't it. Almost like they're best mates. Craig and John, Tel and Markus, happy couples all.

Nevetas 25 October 2004 06:25 PM

lol

I don't understand you Tel, you go along quite normal then all of a sudden you go off on one. I don't get it, I really don't

:p

;)

Markus 25 October 2004 06:52 PM

Oh! German boy! leave it out! :D (back off to 22B, better class of people over there < nose pointed skyward > :D :D)

Tim W 25 October 2004 07:49 PM

Indeed, we're virtually all old school over there: ie doddery old farts :p

Bubba po 25 October 2004 10:37 PM

Nope! I'm new skool. Fook me... where did all those posts come from?

ALi-B 25 October 2004 11:07 PM

I like gnomes too :D

Kosy 26 October 2004 02:30 AM

Cool thread :-)

Brings back memories of wasting time in the lab at uni :D

Kosy (old school too)

Floyd 26 October 2004 07:57 AM

Why do all these threads degenerate into slanging matches? lol ;)

F
PS £5 vouchers - rings a bell!
PSS Maybe the old skool should have another Karting event at Rye or Daytona - that'll sort the men from the boys!
