Stalter in Sheffield or there's revo in York, but me personally I'd either use stalter in Sheffield for a custom map instead of a upload (not sure if these cars are capable of that yet depending of year etc, you'll have to phone up and ask)
Or there is Rick at unicorn in Stockport that deals in VAGs that 'custom' maps them (he did my b8 Audi 2.0 TFSI, he also now has a 4wd RR as before it was only 2wd RR)

Strange [to me] that you'd want an auto so badly when your mileage has dropped so low. I do pretty high mileage with my work and loathe the manual box in my Leon [simply because I'm lazy] and can't wait to get an auto for the daily grind. However, the Focus will probably do 8,000 miles a year and I'm quite happy to shift myself. Not that I'd rule out auto/DSG in a fun car either.

Didn't you have an S2000 as well??? If so, you should appreciate a good manual :p

On reflection, I used to love banging through the gears in that and an Auto would have been the worst thing ever in such a car. If I though it wold get enough use, I would spend less on a daily driver and get a weekend Westfield or similar but I think it would just sit gathering dust :(

It's funny with the Auto thing. I found it a god send on my daily commute which was an 80 mile round trip. Thinking about it however, 80% of my journey was spent in 6th gear. Now my daily commute is a 7 mile round trip and I don't even get out of a 30mph zone, the auto has taken on a higher level of importance. When I do get out of town I can't wait to open the taps and press on - it's here that I find my self wanting as the bmw 6 auto is somewhat slow. I've never driven a dsg so I'm hoping that will fill my void sufficiently :D

What about an M5 estate car... They certainty look different and are cool as!

Thankfully my mileage is mostly at a cruise so I can live with my daily manual for now. Like you, it boils my piss when I get caught in traffic or trundling through town. I dream of an automatic with adaptive cruise control and stop-start (like the system you can get on 3-series) - all you do it steer and check out the chicks :D

Although on paper, the A45 should win, in all the head to head videos I've seen, the Audi always seems to put its power down better. The difference out in the road will for sure be the driver and even then, not worth writing home about.
I would be interested to know what the terminal was at the half mile.

Audi tend to be conservative with their acceleration figures so 3.6 to 60 doesn't surprise me. The S-Tronic box launches harder and with the 2.5T engine it is torquier throughout the Rev range although the 2.0t has a slightly higher peak figure. The result didn't surprise me to be honest.

RS3 Saloon is coming to the UK next year with the new all alloy 395bhp 5 pot engine currently found in the TTRS

Can't come soon enough for me, nearly bought a sportback RS3 until the dealer told me the saloon is coming :)

Can't think of a reason to have a saloon over a hatch back, the hatch is so much more practical.

I'm assuming the hatch will be getting the new 395bhp engine too?

There is no formal news that I'm aware of that states the RS3 Sedan is coming to the UK.

There is ZERO confirmation about anything "RS3 related" coming to the UK during 2017.

That's the logical assumption. :)

Not sure about the exhaust..... I literally opened my wallet and let them rape me tbh! :cry:

Handling wise....... I perhaps got sucked in by the "understeergate". Dangerous to make statements based on internet chatter.

My RS3 actually has the 235 wide tyres and 8" wheels all round. The option is to go for the 8.5's up front with 255's (or whatever the specs are).

The car does have an element of understeer, so to try and make the car more controlled Audi provide the wider tyre option. For me though.... it's not something I wanted.

By having a wider tyre at the front will provide more mechanical grip, but this won't really reduce understeer much. However, having a less grippy tyre at the front will induce the haldex system to shift torque to the rear..... that's what I want to help neutralise the car.

These RS3's can certainly attack twisty B roads..... I don't have a problem in mine. The understeer "issue" is overly exaggerated. The A45 understeers..... like most cars do. You have to adjust your driving style to suit the chassis and dynamics you have. The RS3 is quick..... properly quick.

From what I'm told, the black tipped exhaust is the sports exhaust. IIRC yours is silver tipped. Do you get much in the way of pops and farts?

Scrub that - just watched a video on You Tube which suggests the sports exhaust can also have black tips :D

I have the sports exhaust.... It apparently makes quite a difference. It's definately louder than my A45 was with its oem performance exhaust.

Just checked the spec. In the UK the Sports exhaust is denoted by the chrome tailpipes. :)

I had my P1 for 18 months, in that time it done 2 engines so although I really enjoyed the car it had to go.

For last 18 months my toy is a 2010 black edition 600bhp GTR, 0-60 under 3 secs and over 200mph... and no problems what so ever

I have actually had 2 adults in back seats and 3 golf bags in the massive boot.

Also it appears it has gone up in value by approx £5k :thumb:

The boot on the hatch was just a bit small for my needs and I prefer the saloon shape. I dare say the saloon boot on a RS3 will also be smaller than the std car due to the battery being in the boot but we will see.

I assume the hatch will get the new engine too, can't see why not.

Yeah dealers do talk rubbish but I was sat with the sales guy after a test drive and about to buy a RS3 when he asked if there was anything I didn't like about the car. I said the boot is a bit small and I wish Audi did a RS3 saloon. He then confirmed it's coming towards end of 2016. Now if that wasn't the case then why would he talk himself out of a cash sale ??

You say there is ZERO confirmation about the RS3 saloon but I guess it depends on where you are looking. I am 100% sure it will come based on my sources.

My dealer said the order books on the new RS3 would be opened in June THIS year, when I was in two minds about the RS3. I'm fed up of listening to sales people from dealers tbh.

I'm not saying it won't happen next year, but until something is confirmed by Audi it's all speculation in reality.

Let's hope the Brexit vote doesn't pursuade the likes of Audi UK to bring less high performance cars to the UK next year - as we won't be able to afford them anymore!!

Spent a while at Audi Leeds today.
I tried my bum in both the standard seats and the option seats. To be honest, the standards seats felt more supportive than the options but both are still way, way short of the Mercedes items.
Starting to get a feel for the options list and more of an idea of my perfect car. I've not just got the cash in place just at the minute so am yet to drive either. I guess when it lands I'll do some back to back test drives and see how I feel :thumb:

GC motors have some RS,s in , just got my S5 from them, And there in Harrogate. (As you will know)
