Its because they are supported by the majority of the country. Its only MSM and remainers who have a grievance, so dont count.

Complain away :D

Depends on who you ask :thumb:

IdonthaveaScooby 27 May 2020 09:26 PM

You really would hope wouldnt you that all those mugged off the first time round would now be able to discern the truth as to how these types operate !

Sad Weevil 27 May 2020 11:30 PM

Cummings is unsackable. Without him Boris is nothing. Like Sooty without Harry Corbett. Without him there is no government, the rest of the cabinet are incompetent light weights without a clue, without a plan. It seems we have an unelected psychopath running the country. So much for democracy and taking back control.......

IdonthaveaScooby 28 May 2020 03:14 AM

He’s now a frightened little rat though with a police escort

Witness him desperately Casting around for potential assailants on leaving his London premises

You're out of touch on this one Andy. Even some of the mode hardcore Brexiteers in my Facebook feed are calling for Cummings' head!

People are seriously p155ed off that they have been staying home, struggling with childcare, following what they believed to be the rules, now to be told they could twist the rules however it suited them! There are people in much lesser positions than Cummings that have lost their jobs for breaking lockdown rules, so how can the Governments chief adviser, who was key in setting the rules, possibly stay in this circumstance!

The only people who are supporting Boris on this one are the most extreme Boris bum-buddies such as yourself! This is not about Brexit, its about one rule for us and another rule for the elite! Nobody is calling Boris for this (yet!)! Cummings is just an adviser, so there is no reason for Boris not to replace him for the sake of putting this matter to rest and preserving his own credibility!

By holding on to him, what Boris is effectively saying is that he can't govern without one unelected adviser! So you have to ask yourself, who is really the Prime Minister, Boris or Cummings? Cummings is going down now either way, the question is only whether he takes Boris with him, and I'm sure you don't want that!

Jonathan Pie sums it up:

Russell38 28 May 2020 12:31 PM

Come on now gents this is all getting a little childish calling people weirdos an bum buddies over a political debate is rather school boy

IdonthaveaScooby 28 May 2020 01:06 PM

These are not our words , theyre the governments!

Mr Fuji 28 May 2020 01:52 PM

I see Durham Police now say he breached the rules, but won't take it any further. Will Boris do anything? Will he f*ck!

I dont think I am.:thumb:

Its a media jerk-circle circus. They have a hatred bordering on psychotic of Cummings and to a degree Boris Johnson. They are no longer invited or entertained like past political figures would suck up to the press. The left supporting media, BBC, Guardian, etc have gone full on hatred headlines for 5+days in the attempt to remove Cummings by media execution.

The media and political figures that hate Cummings have failed, most folk aren't that bothered, they do what they need to get on with life.

So a number of folk can do things that alot can't, doesn't mean its wrong. He did what he thought was right for his family.

Ive seen that most of the media have jumped in the bandwagon of bash Cummings. Non are entertained by Cummings, he does it completely differently to anyone before him.

He will hopefully sweep away past traditions of civil service, media involvement and government.

How sinister does that sound , to a level headed individual

I desire, government, politicians directly accountable to the people, easily replaced. Centralised government in London scrapped and regional bodies created. Cosy Lords, abolished or complete overhaul, again relocation to around the country.

Media banned from bull**** propoganda undertones of political steering.

Ordinary folk brought into governance to bring connection to common sense and how ordinary people live and work

Lets See if my wish list is achieved:lol1:

Are you also a Trump supporter? :lol1:

Whether you agree with what he did as a father, it's irrelevant, he had asked millions (or told Boris to ask them :lol1:) to stay at home, no matter what if they had symptoms. He broke those guidelines. He showed no humility at all he could have said "look, I kow what I did was wrong, but...." and those few words would have assuaged so many people, but no, he essentially said f*ck you, I can do what I like.

Seems we have swapped on set of unelected beauracrats for another, just not some 'dirty foreigners'........

Have you seen how many have broken these guidelines, today, Corbyn stood chatting to a supporter:facepalm: far more so than Cummings did.

Blackford returned home fromCoronavirus ridden parliament, Hypocrites the lot of them

Political motivated campaign media and opposition

Hell, what i did collecting my daughter from London could be contorted as breaking the guidance. I used my common sense, applied my discretion as a father.

Its only irrelevant if it suits your narrative, no need to apologise, if you believe you had done the right thing.

Too many soppy folk these days, wanting everybody to say sorry:lol1:

Mr Fuji 28 May 2020 05:47 PM

Oh so now we're into if they did it so can I? I am not excusing Corbyn, or anyone else, and lots of people have been fined for breaking the guidelines, why do you think Cummings deserves to get off? It's a simple question, he broke the rules, he should be fined, or all the other let off, it's not rocket science.

And of course now he has been let off, loads of people just say "well, if Cummings can.......". The former chief of the Met was on last night saying that it was now impossible to police, I imagine he is right.

He didn't get off, that's your embedded opinion.

He went to a place where his family members could help if it became imperative to intervene. He kept social distance from family and the public. Yes he was fortunate to have such a sanctuary but that's just luck on his part.

The media have spun it so much that the facts were ignored

I agree , his risk assessment was good and kept his family safe and didn't endanger anyone. He'd leave most of his critics at the starting gate, would certainly want him on my side in a fight.

I would agree with this assessment .
Mr Cummings is a patronising tit ….. but I would rather have him in my tent pissing out than be in the hard left tent pissing in .
From what I can see most of the lefties on here live in Germany , so why would you make comments here on this thread. the phrase sell outs comes to mind

IdonthaveaScooby 28 May 2020 09:31 PM

On what basis do you come to this conclusion ?

ALi-B 28 May 2020 09:32 PM

Meanwhile Emily Maitliss asks for a ‘day off’, ok whatever...Wish I could get a day off because I didn’t like what I read in the papers. ;)

I wonder if Cummings can get a day off from the press, you know, maybe to visit ophthalmologist, no, wait....are Specsavers open yet?
