king disgraceful , but we expect nothing else They can't blame the EU any more for their failings, so next step is to blame the immigrants and then to demonise the Judiciary for ruling the policies, that clearly break international law, illegal. Immigrants are invaders, judges are enemies of the people! Migrant hotels are already being attacked! What's the next step? |
What I find an utter travesty in all this, is we have politicians (who aren't in charge), pundits, journos and celebrities sticking their oar in with this, saying it is terrible that people are risking their lives to get to UK in inflatable boats or in the backs of sealed HGVs. Blaming traffickers and going further to say the conditions they are held in the UK by appointed officials are terrible, and they are also against them being hosted in hotels.
Fine. But what alternative solution do they propose? I find it so frustrating that I have not heard any shadow MP come with a solution to this. The best they come up with is to "tackle the traffickers", but not says how, nor how are we supposed to enforce UK law in Eastern Europe or North Africa. How exactly do our police to surveil, arrest and prosecute a trafficker in say, Albania? News sources say we have successful international operations working with other countries to tackle this...yet still they operate. So rather than take easy shots at whatever Tory is in charge, how about they come up with a solution. Budgeted. Resourced. And their overall plan for migrant protection and integration into the UK. Where and how they will be housed (during a shortage of council homes) , what provisions will be given (when benefits don't cover food costs and people resort to food banks), their medical care (in oversubscribed GP practices and overstretched hospital with staff striking over conditions). How do we monitor them to make sure they don't 'disappear' from the system or fall victim to the black market labour trade or slave/exploited work. How do we support them or help them integrate when social services aren't equipped to do so? How do we ensure we monitor minimise terrorism risk? Or indeed any risk from those wishing to cause harm. These are answers that the public wants. If Lineker was in charge, what would he do to address this? |
To a certain exstent the government are right, there is no way any asylum seeker should make it to UK shores in a rubber boat, the UK is surrounded on all sides by safe countries that people can claim asylum in. Sometimes they are passing through multiple safe countries to get to Calais beaches. Also if they can afford to pay people smugglers thousands of pounds why can they not just get a ferry or a flight to the UK and claim asylum properly?
|
To answer the last two posts, the proposed solutions that I've read about would all essentially involve setting up legal routes/methods for people wanting to come to the UK to apply for asylum from a distance, ie either at off-shore centres in other European countries (or even further afield), or via consular facilities or similar. The reasons why none of this is ever spoken about publicly in Westminster? Number 1, the big parties are too scared of the public backlash ("deliberately help people get over here - what would the Mail/Express/Telegraph think??"), and number 2, it would cost too much in money, organizational talent and cross-border cooperation than our present govt is willing or able to muster.
Realistically though, I have to agree. If those people really are that desparate to get here, which they very much appear to be, you will never stop them from trying via rubber boats or other unsafe/illegal means unless you offer them some alternative. |
These proposed legal routes should have been there long time ago , if you are an African asylum seeker eg - There is NO way of applying
The proposed legal routes are timed for AFTER they want to make it illegal to turn up without papers ...! so its bull |

The Only way to stop these people coming is to stop screwing up the economies of the places they are coming from
that entails stopping being usa’s bitch |
... And there he goes , probably at some zionists insistence

Yaaaaawn. Why don't you just change your user-name to "Ihatethegreatsatan" and be done with it? It would save everybody a lot of time.

Brexit Benefits! :wonder:
GM crops are legalised in England - man playing God with potentially disastrous consequences! Once again, the UK putting profits before common sense! Naturally, there will be no product labelling requirement, so the public don't know what's GM or not and can't vote with their wallets! https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-64596453 |
Theyve managed this in Kenya , what it actually means is that the poor farmer HAS to buy seed off the supplier and go into debt

So, you voted for Brexit to cut down immigration!
Now we have record immigration numbers for the last two years - only now they're not white Christians coming from Europe, they're brown non-Christians coming from all over the place! So how's the Brexit that you voted for working out for you? |
