Needs to come together quickly now though or it'll drag on forever.

But I love it. It's returning 240miles to a tank too so it's acceptable lol.

big daz2 28 March 2014 06:43 PM

Should have taken it straight away. That's not good at all.
I do know of an sti with the same fault as that last one.

If I can get hold of him and make a deal I'll let you know.

It's sub £2k so a bargain.

big daz2 28 March 2014 07:31 PM

Let me know then

Yellow injectors will be picked up at the meet this Wednesday, parallel fuel rail AN fittings have arrived, fuel pressure regulator and engine components are going to be ordered from Cath at Advanced tomorrow morning.

Still a fair list of things which I will update when I get a further two minutes.

KJD Mk1 13 April 2014 08:56 PM

That's not a tyre I've come across, is it a track day tyre?

DYL 4N 13 April 2014 09:08 PM

It is indeed. Comes in two compounds too track and road.

Had some really good reviews too.

Will let you know on Wednesday when I bring them to the meet.

The Nankang tyres are a less common performance rubber but still good quality,A few of my friends use them and swear by them as a very good tyre for road and track.I might have to give them a try myself.SJ.

Well it's time for a little update.
Been building parts upon parts and it's slowly coming together.

Cage is due tomorrow.
Disks, bells and pads due next week once they have been machined.
Wheels are in being coated in The Wheel Specialist, Swansea. Tyres should be fitted once done.
Also managed to find another set of Speedline Turini so once the first set return the second set can go to be coated. In white I think?? It looks lovely lol.

So some pics for you.

Should be a big transformation soon.
Dylan

The Trooper 1815 29 April 2014 09:28 PM

Peter Pan 29 April 2014 09:57 PM

Any particular reason you ask??:wonder:

I can tell you now I have forgotten to put most my nuts in that pic lol. Ie your injectors lol. :lol1:

Peter Pan 29 April 2014 10:18 PM

If you could get the car up to mine then I can do it, I was a coded welder/fabricator for 22 years previous to what I'm doing now and I installed and welded up the cage in Power Stations Time Attack hawk that you see on their web site so you'll have a tidy job done :thumb:

DYL 4N 29 April 2014 10:45 PM

Hmm.
Need seat rails put in and rally style jack tubes??
Do able?

Peter Pan 29 April 2014 11:02 PM

Seat rails are no problem, never done jack tubes but I cant see that being an issue, I would need the stands for the diameter of the tube. If you want to have a chat about it then let me know and I'll pm you my number :thumb:

esp ltd 30 April 2014 06:43 AM

It's looking good now matey :thumb:

DYL 4N 30 April 2014 06:47 AM

It Will never be the sti but then I'm going to be buried in that car lol.

This one has seen some action in the past and it needs putting right.

How are things anyway. Got any nice toys up there??

DYL 4N 18 May 2014 07:59 AM

The new wheels ish

Well yesterday I had my Speedlines back from the Wheel Specialist Swansea, and all I can say is wow.

Went for a bronze finish in a certain colour and he came up trumps and found the exact colour. :notworthy

They seem to change colour and the photos do them no justice at all.

As for the Nankang's well, I'm blown away. Even without the upgrades to the suspension they have transformed the car.
I must bare in mind that they are the race compound and a little like chewing gum lol.

They look amazing d that's how I wanted mine to look, good taist well done mate

DYL 4N 18 May 2014 10:23 AM

Thanks Daz.

Really like the high profile tyres too. Fills the arch a lot better and I don't need to lower it too much either, allows for my arse end happy characteristics lol.

big daz2 18 May 2014 11:41 AM

I think that stance is perfect mate don't change a thing

Peter Pan 18 May 2014 11:57 AM

Looking very nice Dylan, are you going to have rubbing issues on the rear arches with 225 or you rolling them?? :thumb:
